After reading Night of a Thousand Stars and loving it, I realized I needed to read City of Jasmine. The main characters in City of Jasmine are talked about in Night of a Thousand Stars and I want to know the details of their story. When I went to a Deanna Raybourn book signing in March, I decided to buy it and now I'm finally going to read it. Deanna's books are always a great escape.
Finished this last month, but only now getting around to writing this. This is Deanna Raybourn doing Amelia Peabody with a dash of aviation and sex appeal. I liked it a lot
1. Tagged. Love Deanna Raybourn
2. Blue
3. Went to see Big The Musical (sadly it was baaaaad)
4. Whistle but not with my fingers, and yes I can snap my fingers
5. #friyayintro ❤️💙💛💚💜🧡
Trying to figure out some creative way to store my overflow books that don‘t fit on my shelves. This is also my excuse to put off spring cleaning for a few more days... oops. 😅🌷🌸🌻
This was fun and entertaining. Lots of adventure, a little mystery, and a little romance. The tone reminded me of the movie Romancing the Stone, which I love (don't judge me 😁). I read it on my Kindle but hate the cover of the Kindle edition and I also happened to have the paperback checked out from the library, so that's what I used for the picture.
I've spent a lazy afternoon with a book and the cat. I don't think she was pleased that I woke her up while trying to take a picture 😸
Such a feisty, fun romp of a read. A combination of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Romancing the Stone, and snappy old 40's movies like His Girl Friday.
#marchintoreading I like most of Deanna Raybourn's books, but I felt as if she kind of lost her way between the Lady Julia novels and her new series. This fits the #didntlikeitstillfinished category.
