Locke & Key: Crown of Shadows
Locke & Key: Crown of Shadows | Joe Hill
10 posts | 15 read | 2 to read
The dead plot against the living, the darkness closes in on Keyhouse, and a woman is shattered beyond repair, in the third storyline of the Eisner-nominated series. Dodge continues his relentless quest to find the key to the black door, and raises an army of shadows to wipe out anyone who might get in his way. Surrounded and outnumbered, the Locke children find themselves fighting a desperate battle, all alone, in a world where the night itself has become their enemy.

The epilogue and the tid bit of the keys being used during the late 1700s drew me deeper to finding out the mystery of the Dakr Lady's purpose in collecting all the keys and how the Locke family is connected to all the strange events. What keys await to be found in volume 3 of Locke & Key? Let's find out.

ava.lynn I have watched the show on Netflix. Is the book better? 5y
phantomx @ava.dalaskey I haven't watched the show yet. I do like the books a lot so far, there are tid bits of extra stuff the book talks about with the keys and the Locke family. Also, the series has a short stories that occir in the world of Locke & Key. I will definitely check out the show this weekend to find the differences. 5y

Still digging this series! It's dark and can be truly brutal and bleak at times, but it's still got heart and humanity running through it, especially with Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode, all three of whom I have really grown to love. Plus, the artwork is remarkable. 🌌

Soubhiville Yes! I see book 2 in my future this weekend. 5y

A dear friend delivered homemade cream puffs, and they are now devourèd, and I am happily curled up on my loveseat with some Locke & Key. I was very lucky to have checked out the third through fifth installments from the library before they closed down. ❤🗝📚

How can each volume be better and more amazing than the previous one? How???
I can't stop Reading them, volume 4 next, I wish I could read them slower...

BekahB I put off reading the final volume for about 6 months after it was released just because I was so sad it was coming to an end. It's an amazing series! 7y

There are moments when Bode reminds me of Calvin. Otherwise, it's a much darker story with no stuffed tigers. 👻😈👹

Book 3 of the Locke & Key graphic novel series. The story is totally fascinating and the art is amazing. Here's the image that gripped my heart as I turned the page. Loving it.
