This was the second book and I have to say I liked it … I felt that the storyline was just a little better than the first book… I was happy that the main characters (Kai and Jase) stayed strong and persevered … loved the ending is there another book coming out??? Would definitely read it

Kazi and Jase return home to find everything has changed. They are losing their kingdom and everyone they love. As with every Pearson book there are some deep betrayals, secrets & lies. We learn a lot more about the Ancients (us now) and what we did to destroy our civilization. That‘s still my favorite storyline. Lots more settings of our time to uncover.

Second book in the duology. Honestly I liked the first one better. The author spent the entire first book building a relationship between the 2 MCs only to keep them apart for most of this book. Nicely wrapped up ending but got a little too focused on the war aspects for me. Still ranking Kazi as a great heroine, she only got better.

Finished up the second book so quickly. I loved all of the characters, and I loved how this ended. Some excellent anti-colonizer narratives too. I found more books by this author in what seems to be the same world, so I‘ll definitely be reading those. 9.5/10

I love this series and while Vow of Thieves is a duology, there is a trilogy before which is just as good. The story is visceral and emotional and filled with adventure. I am captured from the beginning and the action never stops down to the satisfying last page. We can only hope there is another spin off!
