Welcome to Litsy!

Finally finished the 3rd book of this series! It definitely shined the light on other characters in the world that the authors created while still sticking to the main story - which I loved. The biggest question like I have for whenever I'm done with a book in this series is, how are they going to continue it cause with more people involved the muddier the waters get.

The problems in this novel were more interesting than those from the first two books in the series. But, once again, all of the solutions were just kind of conveniently stumbled upon. And, though I‘m sure I‘m in the minority here, I kind of wish the series had ended with this one, because that would have been an unexpected and interesting way to end things.

This is the third audio book in a row and I am so glad they used the same person. I don‘t know why but I really like the voices the guy does. But anyway I love the story. I can‘t wait to see what happens next!!

I DNF‘d at 50% and did not like the last two either. I don‘t think the storyline is bad, but I‘m just not getting into it. I really enjoyed the first book. I feel like while it has a lot of plot it is just not interesting enough for me anymore. Maybe I‘ll try again one day at the beginning in a few years. Read for my #DoubleBookSpin for August.

I don't believe in 'guilty pleasures' - but this is the closest I've come to declaring one. These books are so bad in so many ways, and yet, I just really like them.

If book 2 was a bridge, this one is a destination. I loved every second of this, and it was very difficult to put down. Real cliffhanger, good thing I have the fourth one waiting at home! I'm not sure why I like Ethan so much, but he's captivating. He's a stand in for the reader in this strange world, but also so clearly defined in his own way

Finished this one (book 3) a few days ago, and it was another good read. This one was enjoyable, but a bit scattered. It felt at times like they were just sort of making it up as they went. Although, I'm more than halfway through the 4th book so I'm seeing a lot of 3 was set-up.

Nitpick: I saw the new relationship coming from a mile away. Have to pair everyone off nicely, right? *eye roll*

Beautiful Darkness is still my favorite so far.

Not as great as the second book, but that's probably because I already knew how this was going to end and therefore felt like it dragged on a little too much

Currently reading this guy. The best line from this book so far is, "Fanny fanny fanny!" (as in butt)

I think this book was pretty fast paced, there are no real dull moments in it. There were some loose ends, though they might be tied up in the 4th book. The ending brought tears to my eyes, which bumped up my rating for it. I am excited to read the conclusion of this series soon!
