This short story was just okay. Most likely because it was super short (less than an hour.) A married woman working in Hollywood film travels to Alabama to talk an author into making character changes for the benefit of having the book turned into a comedy series. Her marriage is starting to struggle and the author wrote a self-help book on marriage. It seemed like there was room to expand the story to create more drama and intrigue. #MountTBR

This is a short listen (just under an hour). It was just OK. It was too predictable and had lack luster characters. 3⭐

Short piece from Audible. I usually don‘t like short stories, but I enjoyed this.

Needed a break from my other books, something quick and easy. This fit the bill. Not fantastic but not bad. Worth the hour and Diane Lane is a great narrator. #read2020 #mountTBR

Book # 7 In the home stretch & finished my #audiosouping & #audiobligpostwriting to this short hour-ish Audible Original. I picked it for the author & the narrator (Actress Diane Lane) & I wasn't disappointed. I liked the story of a Hollywood exec going Alabama to try to convince the evangelical author of a popular book to make a rom-com out of his marriage manual & include a gay couple. Witty & well done short story.

I listened to this earlier today, and it was better than I thought it would be. I don‘t typically find myself fully engaged with short stories, but I was with this one. Definitely worth the hour it takes to listen to.

Starting out #BookFitnessChallenge on this Friday morning by walking my dog while listening to this audiobook. Headed to work soon so I will have to remember to not sit at my desk all day!

This was one of my two free Audible originals from January, and it was much better than I expected considering the reviews. Super quick story that's only about an hour (less for me since I always turn it up to at least 1.5 speed). Like many short stories, it didn't have a full feeling of a beginning, middle, and end, but entertaining and smart, like all of Sittenfeld's works.
