⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I picked this up pretty much to preview it for my husband (even though this came out a few years ago). Plus, I love a good celebrity memoir. It's complete bullshit that Barker doesn't narrate the audiobook especially since the cover says he does. The narrator is AWFUL. Not a good choice at all. Fortunately, the story is good. I didn't know much about his life before Blink-182 or details of the plane crash. A solid, pre-Kardashian, read.

I don‘t think he‘s a bad narrator but I think it can be a little confusing because there‘s no notice of when someone else‘s opinion is being read until you hear that they‘re talking about the author, if that makes sense. It‘s funny when you hear something totally feminine THEN realize it IS a girl‘s opinion (x-wife). Really interesting guy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I‘ve always been fascinated by Travis. This is a solid celebrity memoir and I learned a lot about the type of person he is. The book dealt quite a bit with the plane crash he survived in 2008. I remember the crash and that he and AM survived, but I found out that Travis has always been terrified of flying, even going so far as to predict he would die in a plane crash. Since the crash, he has not flown, and he gets to Europe by cruise ship.

It says it‘s read by the author on the cover but it‘s definitely not. 🤔😑

I enjoyed it, but man he's annoying af in parts. To the point of cringe. The first 200 pgs were mainly about women & drugs. I'm aware it's suppose to be sex drugs, rock n roll, but it just felt it was only sex & drugs. if it had continued like that I would have rated this a 2. However, it thankfully got more interesting. Audiobook narrator was not good. I sped it up to 1.25 to finish.
Beyond that, I'm not sure. I am a huge Blink182 fan (hence the screen name). I'm glad he turned things around from the addiction. It felt like a lot of name dropping along the way.

Disappointed that this isn't narrated by Travis Barker as it says on the cover. The narrator is pronouncing band names correctly and it's damn annoying. Dokken isn't that hard.

It ended up being a 12-hour day but soooo worth working those hours to meet Travis Barker from Blink-182. If only teenage Whitney could see me now. If you didn't know, his new memoir is out and probably the perfect reading for everyone camping out for the free concert this morning.
