Thanks to @booksandsympathy and her post about Bunnicula meets Edgar Allan Crow I stumbled on the Bunnicula series and I was not disappointed. Some of the stories have been weaker than others but have still been very funny. I loved it. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

bthegood Thanks to your reviews I have added the first book to my TBR list 🙂 2mo

Includes Bunnicula: A Rabbit-Tale of Mystery, Howliday Inn, and The Celery Stalks at Midnight. I think the second is my favourite. All feature the fairly unobjectionable (considering the 1979 1st edition) and sometimes unintentional comic duo of Harold the dog and Chester the cat, along with a menagerie of others. Bunnicula's role is small, but I did get many chuckles out of this 6 hours. Still, why make even a fictional dog love chocolate?!

GondorGirl I adored these books growing up! 🥰 12mo

Came to visit my wife at the rehab facility she's staying at while recovering from surgery and found this book in her room! 😂 I haven't seen these books in years! I hope she's actually going to read it while she's here lol

Update: she said some friends brought it for her to give to our 9yo! They thought he might enjoy it! 💓

wordzie Ikr! So 😎 6y
tournevis Is the cartoon link to this? 6y
ChristieWitch @tournevis I'm not sure, I've never seen a Bunnincula cartoon before! 😮 6y

tournevis @ChristySevern Here in Canada, it's on Ytv and my son thinks it's a bit lame. 6y
ChristieWitch @tournevis 😂😂 Aww! I just gave the book to my son and I don't think he knows what to make of it just yet lol! 6y
tournevis @ChristySevern If the bunnicula in question sucks veggies dry with his vampire fangs, then the cartoon is based on it. 6y
ChristieWitch @tournevis lol I wouldn't doubt they're the same thing, I've never actually read any of these books! They weren't my thing when I was younger, I liked fantasy books with dragons and wizards lol 6y

I found the Bunnicula books as an excellent audiobook from my library. I‘m delighted to revisit an old childhood favorite and get reacquainted. Listening to Howliday Inn especially brought back memories of being deliciously creeped out by reading the book.

Bunnicula is a cute series about a dog and a cat who get into hijinks and shenanigans. Too fun!

Mr. Howe also write a #YA series (Misfits) he would prefer to talk about but BUNNICULA!!

I'm not sure if these are Halloween books, but they are #notscary books - more like hilarious. I laughed so hard at this picture of Chester with the white zucchini. #allhallowsread
