Not his normal fare but enjoyable all the same.
1. It was my camp name as a Girl Scout leader based on my love of blueberries when I lived in Minnesota.
2. I am grateful for my 2 best friends.

Thought I‘ll start off my #AuthorAMonth reading with this lovely, celebratory poem which Gaiman initially wrote for his friend who was expecting a baby girl. It was written as a heartfelt wish for a girl, from childhood to growing into a beautiful, independent adult. Though a picture book, it‘ll resonate with any mother and daughter. ☝️ is the last two stanza of the poem.
#NoFemmeber Day 21: Not a #FalseHope but a fervent prayer to a blueberry girl about to be born. With Gaiman‘s trademark touch of magic, he weaves together an incantation, a spell of protection for this precious blueberry girl, calling on the powers of “ladies of light and ladies of darkness and ladies of never-you-mind.” My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-7EH
I am so tired (and a little sunburned) after picking 10 lbs of blueberries today!
When Litsy started 2 1/2 years ago I was in the middle of maternity leave. Sleep deprived and feeling disconnected from the world, this wonderful app appeared and I was immediately addicted. There is such a wonderful community here and now, just after hitting my 20,000 Litfluence, I want to thank all of you for being here and for making this app a place for book lovers to connect. *Pictured is my daughter and one of my very first Litsy posts!
My daughter received this for Easter and we read it this morning three times. She just loved it. It's a beautiful prayer for a new born baby for a lovely life through to adulthood. Some of the words are a bit advanced for a 4 year old (says age range 4-8) but the illustrations are lovely and the sentiment is sweet.
I can't rave enough about Neil Gaiman's children's books. Especially the Chu series (for younger kids)
Prepping Easter baskets for the littles and as always they are getting new books. So excited for the tagged book. I 💜 Neil Gaiman
Gotta love this FB post from Neil Gaiman this morning. Yeah, it‘s good we don‘t use orange in our Valentine‘s poetry. Happy Valentine‘s Day to all who celebrate! ❤️❤️
Goodreads bookriot challenge # 15 A One-Sitting Book: blueberry girl- Neil Gaiman
My mom got this for my daughter months ago, I love it -- and she loves turning the pages herself as you can see from the creases!
"..Grant her the wisdom to choose her path right, free from unkindness and fear. Let her tell stories and dance in the rain, somersault, tumble and run. Her joys must be high as her sorrows are deep. Let her grow like a weed in the sun.."
One of Gaiman's picture books that I adore. He wrote this book for a friend who was about to become a mother to a girl.

Just a few covers in my favorite shade of blue. #coversinyrfavecolor #bluecovers #anditsaugust (noticed 3 out of 5 are law or law-related - my husband and I are both lawyers).
Neil Gaiman always has the best dedications. These are a few of my favorites. #greatdedication #riotgrams
Not what I expected, but still enjoyed it. Could see this being a good baby shower gift.
I'm trying to get through all of Neil Gaiman's books this year. I've read several over the years, but I want to be able to say I've read them all. So one of my choices for the #bingo challenge is this one for a #BookWithGirlInTheTitle . I'm also going to read the next Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
I don't have any #artrelatedbooks here with me, but I do have a picture book! #seasonsreadings2016
Let her tell stories and dance in the rain, somersault, tumble and run, her joys must be high as her sorrows are deep, let her grow like a weed in the sun.
Book title(s) that explain my life: Going The Distance (because I will keep fighting for the whole distance of life) and The Blueberry Girl (because I eat blueberries almost every day). Thanks @24in48 and @Litsy for the #24in48 #readathon! 👍🏻
This lullaby/prayer is one of my favorites to read to my girls. It's beautiful in it honesty. It's a prayer I find myself reciting often.
Neil Gaiman, poetry, and picture books. 🎶 These are a few of my favorite things 🎶
