RIP. I really enjoyed Straubs books. I had no clue Emma Straub was his daughter. 😳

It‘s #nationalreadabookday and I just heard the sad news that Peter Straub has passed away.
So I‘ll take today to recommend his Talisman books with Stephen King, and his Blue Rose Trilogy. Pick up any book by Straub if you‘ve never read him - he‘s a treasure - and let him live on through the works he‘s left behind.
#TBRtemptation post 1! #AllHallowsReadBookExchange edition! This is the first installment in the Blue Rose Trilogy. KOKO, only 4 men know what it means: a doctor, a lawyer, a working stiff, a writer, Vietnam vets all. They're all linked by a shattering secret. Someone from the past has risen to kill, and they will go on the hunt from D.C. to the Far East. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
I was so excited when this book came out in the 80s. I couldn't finish it then, and haven't been able to finish it the other half dozen times I've tried since. I don't know why, but I just can't seem to get past page 43. #DNF #StephenKing17
I've always finished King's books, but it was a close run thing with Tommyknockers 😜
Edge of your seat thriller and it is a trilogy. Will be picking up the next in the series.
I think this was my #firsthorrorbook, which I read when I was 13 or 14. #AllHallowsRead #photoadaychallenge #ScaryReads (I no longer have my copy, so photo credit to Goodreads)
