The first horror book I can remember reading. Which I did alone in my dorm room at night with a window that overlooked a dark set of train tracks. Wise choice. #allhallowsread #firsthorrorbook #booktober
I'm 43 and my first horror read is a little lost in the mists of time. I am sure I read some Poe stories and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow before I read It but I am pretty sure It was my first real horror novel. #allhallowsread #firsthorrorread #firsthorrorbook
I stole Rosemary's Baby out of my parent's headboard bookcase when I was eleven or twelve. And I loved every creepy second of it! So much! I've read this book at least a dozen times. I love it so much. #firsthorrorbook #allhallowsread
I will forever be afraid of clowns and sewers because of this book 😳It has one of the BEST opening scenes I've ever read, though. #allhollowsread #firsthorrorbook
This is the #firsthorrorbook I really loved. I liked that Brooks formatted the story in a series of interviews with people who experienced the zombie war first-hand. It made the novel feel so realistic. Also, im not even sure why the movie was called WWZ as they were literally nothing alike. Super strange 🤔#allhallowsread #ruinedbythemovie
Thinking back to my #firsthorrorbook I'm torn between these two books. Different Seasons was my first Stephen King, although it's more drama than horror. Interview was my first true horror book and was quite a departure for me at the time. Now tales of the #supernatural are my favorite genre! #allhallowsread #scaretober
My mom introduced me to Stephen King when I was in high school and have been some of my favorite books🎃 I believe Carrie was the first horror book that I read☠️ #AllHallowsRead #firsthorrorbook

The Unseen is the first horror I remember reading (I will have been around 12/13). After that I read several others in the Point Horror collection.
I loved The Unseen so much that I borrowed it from the library 3 times before buying myself a copy! I have recently discovered that there are sequels... but I'm not sure if I want to risk spoiling this book! 🤔
