This was really good. It starts out with action packed scenes of war, then turns to suspense as you slowly find out about the Princess and her secret she found. The crows were killed in the war and the Princess is forced to marry the prince that took her country. I really enjoyed the crow premise even though it's a small part of the story. Look forward to the second book. #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

sleepy.ash87 In art, a crow or raven in a painting is sometimes meant to be a symbol or reflection of the artist's self. I wonder if this happens in literature too! 3y

This started strong. YA character with believably described depression. I had high expectations, but then the usual YA tropes started to roll in, including the love triangle.

Not sure I want to read the sequel, I can guess what will happen.

I was fully planning on going to bed an hour ago but had to stay up to finish this one! I don‘t know if a sequel is planned but I so hope so! 😍

SharonAlger A quick question: would this be suitable for an 11 year old, or is it more adult? I ask, because I have a child obsessed with crows and reading about crows, here. 5y
cleoh @SharonAlger I think an 11 year old could read it! It falls on the younger side of YA but is still very well written. Nothing explicit happens, but there is some mention of physical abuse and PTSD that may result in questions! 5y
SharonAlger @cleoh thanks so much! 5y

My bookish box arrived today! 📚💕 Hooray! The theme this month is The Forbidden Forest. 🌲🌳🌲The book looks incredible and I love the tapestry and unicorn necklace! 🦄 #bookishbox #bookmail

Chrissyreadit Love this theme! I never do book subscriptions because I do so many swaps but I‘m looking this one up. 5y
KarouBlue That book was super good! 5y
Branwen @MellieAntoinette Really?! That's so great to hear! I had never heard if it before, previously, but it looks amazing! 😀 @Chrissyreadit You totally should! I'm kinda really loving this theme! And the tapestry is huge and gorgeous! It's worth it just for that! 5y

I really enjoyed this book. I love how the crows were here in place of dragons like you normally find. The characters were strong and fleshed out. It was a tad predicatble but honestly not enough that I didn't second guess my predictions as I read. I wish it weren't a new release so I could binge the trilogy it will be.

KarouBlue Loved this one! A nice surprise! 5y

It was pretty good. It feels pretty quick at times. I liked the world and the idea of crows having magic. It doesn‘t really give me a feeling of needing to continue on but I‘m pretty sure this is gonna be a series.

JazzFeathers Phenomenal cover! 6y

After trying to pick up a couple books and not really getting into them, I feel like this one will finally be the one where I actually complete something

Recieved the ARC with fairyloot and I was NOT disappointed at all.
It is so easy to connect with the MC and my heart burst with Res ❤
The only downside is the wait to continue this story is going to be annoyingly long.

So I received an advance readers edition of The Storm Crow in my Fairyloot box. At first glance the cover is beautiful. The book description give a lot of the book away.....I feel. I am on chapter 6 and hoping to connect with the MC but it‘s slow going so far! Check it out on GRs. Comes out 7-9-19

ForeverReading Update: I added this to my DNF list. The book was so predictable and the main character was so hard to get to like. Oh course the prince was the most beautiful, but Cruel guy she has ever met... I‘m guessing he ends up being a good guy.... the whole idea of the world was cool but the story need more. Don‘t get me started on the Queen 😒 6y
