My final completed book for the #AwesomeAugust readathon!

No. 6 in this long running series, in it Mma Ramotswe is confronted with an unfortunate reminder of her past, Mma Makutsi takes dancing lessons and the tiny white van is stolen! 😱Also new addition is made to the team at Speedy Motors and The No. 1 Ladies‘ Detective Agency. I love this series. Nothing much happens, but they are soothing to read/listen to. ❤️

I was actually worried about the legitimacy of a certain marriage for a bit, but McCall Smith pulled off a good solution. Without spoilers, this was a really good addition to the series! Seems like there were deeper issues to tackle, but the ladies and their friends handled them all well. Very satisfying. 😊

I love this series! Light and heartwarming, even though they often bring up difficult topics. The characters are well thought out and each one unique. Someday I hope to be able to visit Botswana to see this beloved country of Mma Romatswe for myself. 💙

Also, Froedrick says good morning 😃.

Tamra It‘s my very favorite series - my comfort reads. I always feel good reading them. 💜 6y

#JuneBookBugs #day29 #LatestBookHaul This is my stack from last Sunday's scrapyard finds & QBD buy. All except for Life After Life ,A God In Ruins & The Dark Lake (not pictured, forgot it. Sorry!)are from a scrapyard the hubby found that has a huge shed full of 2ndhand books. I could've gotten so much more, but the dust was killing me, I couldn't breathe & had to leave. Planning a 2nd run soon, and I'll be hitting up the Salvos warehouse Saturday.

RealLifeReading I feel sad that the books were in a scrapyard! Hooray for you rescuing them! 7y
Lizpixie @RealLifeReading I'm pretty sure most were from estate sales, there was a lot of junk but some truly wonderful finds. And cheap! 7y

It was in the mid-80s today so the daycare babies got to spend a little time outdoors. Here is my tiny peanut enjoying the sunshine with one of her compatriots.

I adore AMS & his way of making ordinary life extraordinary. The touching stories of Mma Ramotswe, Mma Makuti, & their community in the beautifully evoked landscape of Botswana never cease to uplift & comfort. Contemplating a full series reread.

Libby1 I adore this author, too. His books bring a lot of joy. 8y
