⭐️⭐️⭐️ I read Doescher‘s Shakespeare “Clueless” Elizabethan makeover a few years ago, and loved every moment. It‘s my fave movie of all time so zero prep needed. I did, however, need to rewatch “Mean Girls” before this, and I‘m so glad I did. Doescher is funny and incredibly clever. I really enjoyed this “retelling” whilst picturing the brilliant film cast in my mind. Fans must read! #coverlove
It's October 3rd 💓
It‘s Wednesday! And I‘ve marked the occasion with my pink cardigan and my “she doesn‘t even go here” badge 💕
I‘m having a good week - yesterday I held a baby kangaroo (just an average day at the library 😅) and today I signed a lease for a sweet little apartment in a suburb I‘m excited to live in. I move in mid next month - and I‘m very excited at the prospect of not filling in any more applications and of being reunited with my bookshelves 🥹
Picked this up from the local library. So far it‘s hilarious. Just a fun read to take a break from the more serious/intense things that I‘ve been reading lately (like my animal anatomy textbook!).
It‘s Wednesday! And I thought I‘d mark the occasion!
I am so mentally exhausted by everything happening. Today was our first day of homeschool which added a whole new level of stress.
Haven had a horseback riding lesson today so I used the time to read this book, which is the movie Mean Girls written in Shakespearean iambic pentameter and yes, it is hilarious!
Yesterday, I listened to the full-cast audiobook, and it is laugh laugh-out-loud entertaining. Realizing it was a Wednesday, I even changed into a pink sweater for the third act! If you are a fan of the movie, Mean Girls, treat yourself to this Shakespearean remix. ...I was thinking I should push it forward in favor of more Octoberish reads, but look at this cover!
GUYS, this book was freaking amazing! As a diehard Mean Girls fan and a true lover of Shakespeare, I will admit I was worried this wasn‘t going to hit the mark for me... BUT man was I wrong! It was actually laugh out loud hilarious and I loved every minute of the audiobook. I‘m going to have to go and get my hands on the physical copy to have for my shelves. Any for anyone who knows me, knows I almost NEVER keep books after reading. But I need it!
Since I‘m half asleep, I need something fun for my walk to and from work today. This one is sure to do the trick. ♥️
One of the best impulse-purchases I‘ve ever made
So excited about this fun read I found recently, the perfect book for you if you‘re a Shakespeare nerd or a Mean Girls fan. 💕
This is written in iambic pentameter and is almost word-for-word with the movie. Very clever and such a cute concept. Can‘t wait to start this one! 😊

I do have a penchant for wearing pink on a Wednesday 💕
Found this on my desk earlier today - I work with the loveliest people!
I thought this was a joke at first, so funny! A book with a "what if Shakespeare had written Mean Girls?" premise ?
I'll be honest I never would have sought out this book to read on my own but it was given to me and I really enjoyed it. Taken directly from Tina Fey's 2004 film Mean Girls the author rewrote it as a Shakespearean play. I enjoyed the humor hidden within, mathletes speaking with math themed dialog while other nouns not being replaceable still made it into the book like 'Taco Bell' and 'school buses' while other statements more hidden.
"Oh my God, Karen, you can't just ask someone why they're white!" New book on my #TBR ?

How am I the only Litten posting about this book? I feel as if I‘m trying to make fetch happen. 🙁
Stupid things that make me laugh.
Well played, Ian Doescher. Well played.
