My first read of august and it was pretty good. I liked the mc but the constant hp references were occasionally too much. Overall it was an entertaining read

This was a really fast read (less than four hours) and enjoyable. Family dynamics, twin drama, wounds from past relationships, questioning one‘s identity...and lots of Austen and HP bits. This is a mostly closed-door romance (the actual sex is off-screen, but there is some lead-up depicted). I liked it well enough, but won‘t remember this for long and won‘t reread it.
Just hit 4 hours on #20in4 and second finish; last #bookspin title for January.
I‘m jumping into the inaugural #20in4 readathon today with @Andrew65 . I‘m going to try timing but we‘ll see how that goes.
My goal is to read the tagged book (my last #bookspin title for the month!) plus two Giant Days volumes (to blackout my #bookspinbingo board). Beyond that I have no idea what I‘ll be reading. I also need to prepare my list for February‘s spin, which I‘ve been fiddling with for days.
I absolutely enjoyed The Accidental Beauty Queen by Terri Wilson. It was a cute sweet romance. It also explores the ups and downs of family especially between twins. My favorite character of course was Charlotte though. I liked that it also included a good message of loving yourself for you not for who/what you wish you were.
Book 123 of the year done.
My current read and only physical library book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a fun read about a set of twins that learn the value of good relationships, the truth, and self worth. If you‘re looking for a lite read I highly #recommend
Such a cute and quick read!!! When Ginny has an allergic reaction and her twin Charlotte has to pretend she is her for a pageant it is so amazing!!! Charlotte is such a funny and quirky character!!!
I loved this book. Charlotte is going to Orlando to see her identical twin sister Ginny in a pageant. All she dreams about is hanging out The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But what she doesn‘t know is that she will be taking care of her sisters dog Buttercup and meeting a handsome stranger. But when Ginny has an allergic reaction she begs Charlotte to take her place. Charlotte does and one her 1st day she meets on of the judges. 👇🏻👇🏻
If people saw me on my audio walk this morning they may have thought I was crazy! This book had me smiling and laughing. I am loving it! Had to stop and take a picture of this beautiful flower!
The books I read for the #Booked2020 Winter prompts:

2. #HatHeadCoveringOnCover: The Accidental Beauty Queen 4.5⭐️
3. #LiveAndLearn: The Castle on Sunset 4⭐️
4. #SetInHollywood: Stars Over Sunset Boulevard 4⭐️
5. #CoverCrush: The Memory Thief 3.5⭐️
6. #FinishInADay: 84, Charing Cross Road 4⭐️
I really enjoyed this one! Charlotte joins her twin sister Ginny in Orlando for a beauty pageant that Ginny is a contestant in. Charlotte just wants a nice vacation to relax by the pool and read, but a dog named Buttercup, an allergic reaction, and a case of mistaken identity are what she has to deal with instead.
I'm extremely picky about what I like to listen to while I'm walking on the treadmill. I started listening to A Secret History of Witches, and I think I'll like the actual book more than the audiobook, so I switched to this one and I really like it so far! #audiowalking
This book really hit the spot for me. After several books with enough domestic violence to last me quite awhile, it was great to read a lighthearted rom-com with extremely funny internal dialogue. Think “The Parent Trap” meets “Miss Congeniality” and you‘ll have a pretty good idea of what this story is about. Also, if you‘re a Harry Potter fan, you‘ll love all the references.
This a good palate cleanser from a couple of more difficult reads that I have recently read. I doubt I will remember this book in a month though. There are some nice references for all us book lovers though in here.
The Parent Trap meets Miss Congeniality. When Charlotte's beauty queen sister Ginny invites her to Orlando to spend the week of a big pageant with her she jumps at the chance to spend some time with her twin - and five days at the Wizarding World. When a freak allergic reaction forces her to trade in her wand for a baton the formerly "ugly" duckling becomes beautiful just by taking her hair out of her messy bun, ala every 90s teen movie ever.
A great book about bond of twin sisters and what lengths they will go to for each other
This was the perfect end to summer read. It's a mix between Miss Congeniality, The Parent Trap, and The Princess Diaries, and it's so cute! When Charlotte's twin sister can't compete in her lifelong dream pageant because of an allergic reaction, she reluctantly agrees to take the stage in her place. It's all about finding your confidence and coming into your own. And the adorable romance helps, too!
ModernMrsDarcy.com Summer 2019 Reading List
Rom-com is not my favorite genre but this book was cute. I could actually see them making a film based on this story. Hmmmm ... Who would play Gray?
I‘ve seen a lot of people posting their #top6reads of 2019 so I thought I‘d join in the fun. Only after I made my choices did I realize I‘d picked 2 books, 2 ebooks, and 2 audiobooks lol.
“I, on the other hand, found my hope in books. ... They saved me, over and over again.”
4.5 ☆ A quick, fun rom-com about twins that pull a switcheroo at a Miss American Treasure pageant. Charlotte puts me in mind of a very bookish Grace Hart in Miss Congeniality. A shy school librarian, no makeup, Harry Potter nerd, loves Pride & Prejudice, not Fifty Shades of Grey like her twin. She finds her own Mr Darcy but can it last w/her posing as Miss Texas? Discovering oneself is the big picture here and I loved that about this book. #MMD
This book was cute! It is due back at the library tomorrow (well, later today) so I stayed up late to finish. It was a quick read that I enjoyed. The author has written books that became Hallmark movies, and that's exactly what this was. It's a good summer read, from Modern Mrs. Darcy's list. I checked off others I've read ( a few before the list was released!).
Finished this cute book last night. Charlotte, typical introvert book nerd, trades places with her beauty queen twin when the twin has an accident and can‘t compete. This is a fun light read.
My weekend reads. The tagged book I am currently reading. Finished Kingdom of Ash finally and finish Love and Gelato in a day. I loved both. Kingdom of Ash was a satisfying ending to the series with lots of action. Love and Gelato was so cute! #weekendreading
The pups and I are enjoy our last little bit of paradise before we go home tonight and back to reality! #happymemorialday #dogsoflitsy #outsidereading #sonnythemutt
Not a big #RomCom book fan but sometimes you need something light to read in between. Finished in 1 sitting! A fun fast read with lots of Jane Austin & #HarryPotter references to satisfy all the book nerd in us. Librarian twin sister hoping to vacation but ended up switching with her beauty queen twin. Loving all the Miss Congeniality & Princess Diary moments. A feel good about yourself &who you are story!

My library book haul for the Memorial Day weekend. I plan on reading by the pool!
This was cute and a nice light hearted fast read. It goes the way you would expect it too and with lots of positive feelings about feeling good about yourself.
This will be me despite having to work tomorrow.
Oh well!
THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK MADE ME WANT TO PULL MY HAIR OUT!! Just me??
1. Still not feeling 100% so I‘m opting for a light read this weekend.
2. Having breakfast with RED PANDAS (!!!!!) at the Franklin Park Zoo
3. Nope
4. Not yet, but it‘s on my list
5. 🍀🌈

I got my Once Upon a Book Club Valentines Box yesterday so I thought I‘d have a #literarylunch today. #onceuponabookclubbox #valentinesbox #theaccidentalbeautyqueen #booknerd #readingislife
☆☆☆☆☆ I loved this book! So much so that I stayed up until 2am reading and only set it down at my husband's insistence, quietly setting my phone on vibrate to wake me at 6am so I could enjoy the ending.
"Recent hijinks aside, I am generally a good person. An honest one. I don't even dog ear my books, much less engage in the Sandra Bullock rom-com subterfuge I'm currently engaged in at the moment."
Full review on my Goodreads. Link in profile.
Loving this book! Librarian protagonist who keeps experiencing Anne Hathaway and Sandra Bullock moments amidst seasoned pageant gals and a gassy French bulldog rescue. Who needs sleep? I may stay up and read this beauty cover to cover...
A cute fluffy book great for fans of romantic comedies, Miss Congeniality, and plots revolving around twins switching places.
