The body of a girl who has been missing for 30 years has been found, as well as the secrets that were buried with it.
Page-turner! I did not guess the culprit until the end.
So good! Loved this first in a series. Can‘t wait to read the rest! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
This one had an interesting premise w/plenty of suspects. It was well written & held my attention, but I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I had hoped, probably because it was a procedural book set in another country, & while I always find them interesting, there's also always a little bit of a disconnect because of the differences. Also, while there were clues left for the reader, I would have enjoyed a stronger "aha!" moment. Barely a pick for me
I read about this on a blog and thought the premise sounded intriguing. In 1983 seven teens go camping but only six return...30 years later, the body of the 7th teen is found. Was she murdered?
The 30 year gap maybe hurt the plotting. There were parts I didn‘t quite believe. But the team of detectives were interesting and this is no. 1 in a new series, so that bodes well for future books. 😀
My second #20in4 completed book.
I liked this book enough, but didn‘t think it was great. I thought the beginning was really good. It pulled me in and I enjoyed the mystery and suspense of following the investigation. But, as it for further in, I felt like it really slowed down and got a bit boring. I think this could have been cut down a bit and still been good.
She looked round at him. He was slightly glassy-eyed. She wondered if that was what the drugs did. Jojo was crouched down behind him, rubbing at her nose. How much had they had?
HAPPY PAPERBACK RELEASE DAY!!
What could have happened to Aurora? Someone knows but isn't telling.

I enjoyed this and found it to be a satisfying page turner. There is a not at all subtle homage to The Secret History in this tale of a group of popular kids who are involved in the disappearance of the sister of one of the group members. The story is told with flashbacks interspersed with the present day investigation, which I liked. I didn‘t care for the side plots involving the detectives but perhaps the author intends to write more about them?
I didn't feel invested in the characters, not enough background on the main detective to make me warm up him. Ending was trite 😕 Not for me. Even Jerry fell asleep 😉
After an afternoon and evening cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, decluttering and generally titifying everything in sight from the house to the car yesterday, today I've a few hours to myself while my Mum takes the kids for lunch so I am relaxing to the max!!!
Seven teenagers entered a forest for a weekend of camping and fun. One disappeared in the middle of the night and six were left wondering what happened. Thirty years later that missing person‘s body is found. That‘s the gist of the plot without giving too much away. This was a fantastic debut. I am rating it four stars out of five. @penguinrandomhouse #gythalodge #sheliesinwait
Finished! It should of been a quick read however I am not good at reading multiple books concurrently... this was a #goodreads win for me and I liked it:) that‘s always a bonus!
This weekend I went to see the movie Us. It was really good. As for this story, the teacher has issues and is a prime suspect. Rightfully so. #sheliesinwait #gythalodge
Honestly not much makes me happier than new pyjamas, clean bedding and a new book!
I‘m still reading this book. Five people were present and everyone has the same story... Coincidence, I think not! #sheliesinwait #gythalodge
I don‘t know if a person can completely change in a matter of decades especially if said person is a killer. Someone is lying... #sheliesinwait #gythalodge
A snack while reading. #sheliesinwait #gythalodge #foodoflitsy
Thirty years ago six teens go on a camp out but only five come out. This, for me, was a page turner, I just couldn‘t put it down. I give high praise to the author Gytha Lodge for her development of each character so that you felt like you knew them. Looking forward to reading her next book. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
THANK YOU, Penguin Random House. 😍😍😍

Was a little late finishing the NetGalley ARC, but I really enjoyed it. I thought the premise was going to lead to a pretty simplistic plot, but the author did well in coming up with some twists and turns. I let my 13-year old niece pick out my #TBR pile for February. She did a pretty good job!
1. 3 degrees...but feels like -6.
2. 60s to 70s, that way I can open windows and get a nice breeze, but not freeze my butt off.
3. 70 degrees.
4. ALL weather is my favorite to read in 😁
5. #LetTheRightOneIn by John Lindqvist.
#HelloThursday @wanderinglynn
1. She Lies In Wait by Gytha Lodge.
2. Slytherin.
3. I'm catching up on the newest season of Ray Donovan.

This is the first in a series with DCI Jonah Sheens. There are seven teenagers camping. One of the girls Aurora is younger than the other six. But someone kills her during the night. Which person is the killer. Aurora"s body is not found for 30 years. During the years the six have remained friends. DCI Jonah Sheens is put on the case when her body is found beneath a tree.
Definitely will read more in this series.

What could have happened to Aurora? Someone knows but isn't telling.
Uncovering bones from a thirty-year-old disappearance/murder case wasn‘t something the police thought would happen after their very thorough search and investigation back then.
If you enjoy being a detective, you will definitely enjoy this book.
The story line is good and nicely carried out with some twists and of course secrets being kept. 5/5
Starting #boutofbooks week with these two books! Hoping to have time to read even though I had to go back to work today and got a lovely cold from my husband. 📚🤧🤒
Traveling home after a nice vacation. Airport is crazy crowded but at least there are books!
FULL REVIEW WILL BE ON JANUARY 8, 2019.
