I took this afternoon to set up a more free flowing #bookspin list for next year! This month offers Legends of the Fall again so maybe I'll dive in. I've only read 4 books for my list this year. I thought I needed a little more wiggle room to be successful next year. As always, huge thanks to Sarah @TheAromaofBooks for all the work that goes into our challenge each month!!! ❤️
*Side note: basement books are just on shelves in the basement 🤣

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!!! 2y

Do I have lots of work to do? Of course.
Books I could be reading? Yes.
Audiobooks to listen to? Also yes.

Did I just spend time working on a #192025 tracker & planner because spreadsheets look like important work? Also yes.

@Librarybelle Thanks for enabling today's procrastination tasks. 🤣

Librarybelle 😂 Glad to be a help to procrastination! 😂 2y

I‘m really, really bad at actually completing reading challenges, but I LOVE planning for them and discovering new books and authors. Here are my tentative Winter choices for #Booked2022:

▪️About a cult/religion: We Can Only Save Ourselves
▫️Repetitive Title: I Am I Am I Am
▪️Set in China: She Who Became the Sun
▫️Weather in Title: Silent Winds, Dry Seas
▪️Black-owned Publisher: In Dependence
▫️Non-patriarchal Society: The End of Men

Reagan This is a great list! I Am, I Am, I Am is amazing! 3y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Reagan That‘s what I picked for this prompt also! 😎 3y
BarbaraTheBibliophage These look super—thanks for sharing! 3y

squirrelbrain Don‘t be suggesting another #buddyread @TrishB - I have Unorthodox on my list too! 3y
TrishB Oh no 🙈 I am trying to be really good and use existing books! 3y
Cinfhen I just posted ideas and if any of the books catch your interest I‘ll be happy to send them to you xxx 3y

Cinfhen I think I own this one still…I might have donated it but I‘ll look if you want it 3y
Cinfhen Although some of the books I realize are ebooks or audiobooks and a few I know I‘ve loaned …oops, sorry 3y
TrishB No worries. I have Unorthodox on kindle. Will have a browse through the others later too 👍🏻@cinfhen 3y
Cinfhen I just bought this one yesterday at the charity shop if you‘re interested I‘m happy to send it 3y
TrishB @Cinfhen I‘ve read that one 😁 I‘ve just found 2 in one of the other hidden piles with Snow in the title ! Winning 🏆 and a title repeats itself. Now about to write them down. Before I forget. 3y
alisiakae @Cinfhen Half of a Yellow Sun is so good! It was the first book I read by Adichie, years ago! 3y
Centique @Cinfhen I loved that Snow Flower book - one of those really epic tales of women in China living through multiple reigns. One of the best IMO 😍 3y
Cinfhen Ohhh, so i might need to work it into my challenges this year @Centique it‘s been on my shelf for AGES!!! 3y

This is my tentative plan for the winter portion of #booked2021. I'm still lacking a book with baked goods on the cover, which is surprising as I thought that would be the easiest to fill.

1. Set in Australia
2. NF Science by a Woman
3. Baked Goods
4. Doctor or Nurse MC (Dr. Watson)
5. Mustache on Cover
6. Author's First Name Starts with A,B,C

@Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage

LaraReads Looks great! 4y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Great choices! For baked goods, I opened my ereader app and started looking through covers. Found one pretty quickly that way! And it‘s not what you would normally expect, but there are scones! 4y
Traci1 @BarbaraTheBibliophage I've got loads of cozy mysteries on my kindle and in print, and I'm sure one of them would work. They're usually about food. 😄 4y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Traci1 Yes, they have lots of covers with baked goods. Harder to narrow down to just one, though! 🤪 4y
Cinfhen Nice!!! Using your #BOTM picks!!!!! Excited to see how they fit 💜 4y

5. Social media focus
6. Food or beverage on the cover

Melissa_J I absolutely loved The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet. 6y
Cinfhen Looking good 😁🤟🏽 6y

So slightly nervous about the big match in a bit so I'm doing what I do best and writing lists to take my mind off it!

I've got so many books to read and they end up getting forgotten. So I've written down the first 20 I plan to read, not necessarily in that order though.

When you get your inspiration for NaNo early, and you‘re trying to keep everything organised, but there is no suitable app or pages/word template so you make a private, non-searchable family tree on your ancestry account. ROTFL
This sucker is going down!!!
#writer #writersproblems #planningahead #organisation #fakeancestry

CocoReads Good for you! I need to do some pre planning. I‘ve got an inherited white board in my new room—I think I‘m going to make use of it, even though I‘m not organized. At all. 6y
GingerAntics @CocoReads I have a feeling this thing is going to be half written by November. 6y
wanderinglynn Way to go! 😀 There are a lot of good resources on the NaNo website. 6y

GingerAntics @wanderinglynn @CocoReads the funny part is when it gives me a lead and thinks it‘s a real person, and I don‘t know how to tell it that it‘s a fake person. lol Then again, I doubt many people use it for story planning. lol 6y
GingerAntics @wanderinglynn @CocoReads @jmofo is it cheating if I do writing exercises with the characters? 6y
jmofo Heck no! In my mind, the only cheating is not crediting your sources when applicable! Go to town! 6y
GingerAntics @jmofo YAAAAAAAAY!!! *does happy dance out of the room and toward the computer* 6y
CocoReads It‘s so fun seeing your excitement! I love hearing how others plan (or if they do), get ideas, etc. 6y
GingerAntics @CocoReads I just found a 150 question character questionnaire. Let the games begin!!! 6y
wanderinglynn Nope, not cheating. You‘re planning. 👍🏻👍🏻 6y
GingerAntics @wanderinglynn @CocoReads @jmofo okay I am officially signed up. I can‘t seem to figure out how to find people on my phone, so I‘ll have to try tomorrow on my computer. I‘ll find everyone tomorrow. I have the same name on there as here if you find me first. Hate the title I gave my book, but it always gets changed 20 times anyway so who cares. Heading to bed. So excited. 6y
