2: Several. I‘m in the middle of Emma right now and want to finish it. I also want to read Middlemarch and Walden.

KathyWheeler @Ruthiella I don‘t have any idea why I keep quitting it. This may be my “I‘m finally going to read this” book this year. Last year, it was The Grapes of Wrath; before that it was Moby Dick. I ended up loving both. 3y

You can tell by how I‘ve worn the design off the cover that I‘ve spent just a little bit of time with this novel. I savored it. Loved the portrait into the lives of different people and how it discussed class, medicine, science, politics, women‘s roles in society, and love. I loved it!

I recently answered a question on here if I read outside in summer. Usually, no, but today it is 73 degrees Fahrenheit, breezy, and beautiful! Tomorrow it‘s supposed to hit 90. I haven‘t posted a book review in awhile because I‘m reading Middlemarch and Im only a third of the way through. Enjoying it immensely!

Leftcoastzen Nice! It‘s very hot where I live so it‘s mostly spring outdoor reading for me. A nice,mild day is always something to savor! 4y

Palimpsest @sprainedbrain another Litten is reading Middlemarch and as I told her I love how the sentences are exquisitely written and so much feeling is told about what the characters feel with a look or small inference. I already have some favorite passages. @batsy I‘m thinking this might become a favorite book! 😊 4y

My Sunday morning reading spot on my verandah. It‘s a glorious day with clear blue sky‘s and that slight chill in the air that I love. I am plowing through Middlemarch and enjoying it. It‘s my second attempt at it.. it comes with so many recommendations and it‘s set in the 1800‘s which I love reading about.

Palimpsest I‘m currently reading Middlemarch for the first time. I‘m about a third of the way into it. So many of the sentences are exquisitely written and the feelings of the characters that are often conveyed with few words or a certain look that I feel George Eliot can wield particularly well. 4y

Because I just finished Middlemarch recently - and am very much obsessed with it now - I was delighted to learn that there is a modern day web series adaptation. Guess what I‘ll be binging this week (and probably beyond... its 70 episodes 😄)

Eyelit @sprainedbrain I just finished the series (apparently I have no self control) and it‘s pretty good. Obvs a lot was cut (because there are only 10 actors total I think), but the general story and themes come through in the update, methinks. Hope you enjoy! 5y
