The first few pages hooked me - a woman vanishes in her house - years later the King family buys the house, they find out the house has a mysterious past (husband supposedly killed wife, family disappears) - the Kings soon discover that the house is a portal to different times/places- then I got unhooked. ⬇️

Interesting concept, but more middle grade than YA. Not sure I'm interested enough to pick up the rest. #litsyAtoZ #letterH

From the first pages, this story will hook readers. I really enjoyed that it was from brothers‘ perspectives. Their house is incredibly creepy and I had moments of wanting to live in a place like it. I would love the adventurous side but the scariness I would want to avoid. The first time I read this book I thought it was unique.

I really enjoyed that it was from brothers‘ povs. If you enjoy a fast paced, spooky YA adventure be sure to check this series out.

More of a young reader/middler book, but oh so good about a family moving into a strange house where strange things happen!
