From the first pages, this story will hook readers. I really enjoyed that it was from brothers‘ perspectives. Their house is incredibly creepy and I had moments of wanting to live in a place like it. I would love the adventurous side but the scariness I would want to avoid. The first time I read this book I thought it was unique.

It‘s well written and the storyline is creative. This book is written from four different pov‘s including; Wallace, Rena, Aiden, and Corynn. I enjoyed getting to know Wallace‘s brother, Cole, more in this story. Corynn was an interesting addition to the storyline. I wanted to hate her for being willing to break up Wallace and Rena, but I understood her motives.

I really liked the story. I was introduced to a new paranormal being, the Dynari. Wallace is a very sexy character. Rena didn‘t stand out for me. She was a good character but I felt like I‘ve read her personality type before. The ending was where all the action was and where I learned more about the Dynari.

I‘ve always liked Eve‘s character. I was grateful this book didn‘t veer off and leave Eve and Rex‘s story in the dust. Cheyenne‘s character just doesn‘t appeal to me, In this book when Eve wanted her to keep a secret and she was all, “Oh I will except from Dylan.” GAH!! I wanted to slap her so badly and tell her, “Girl, you don‘t want to keep secrets from your husband except when it suits your own desires….grow up.

This book was my least favorite of the series. I didn‘t care for Sophia‘s character at all. I didn‘t like that she cheated on Ted but claimed to be so in love with him. if you are in love with someone you DO NOT cheat. I didn‘t care for Ted‘s character either. It took 3/4ths the way through the book before Sophia and Ted‘s romance finally kicked in.

This story was very intense and suspenseful. For most of the book I was worried at the lack of romance due to the mystery aspect but it eventually came to light. I didn‘t think I was going to like Addy but she grew on me the more I read. Noah is a terrific character. I loved his loyalty to Addy even though he has to stand against his own family.

HOLY WOW! This book was a trip. It hooked me from the start and never let go. I was shocked at every twist. The characters were well thought out and their stories were chilling. This has to be the prettiest book I've ever seen. I've never been a fan of ‘Alice in Wonderland. Alyssa is a likable character. She has hidden strength and confidence that she eventually discovers within herself. At times this story was down-right creepy. I hate teen love triangles. The ending was a surprise. Alyssa uncovers the truth about her family in a big way. I was very disappointed to learn that this is the first book of a series.

I love time travel stories because every place has a history. This book sent me to 15th century England. It‘s well written and adventurous. All the characters were great but my favorite was Paul. Paul is the smart mouth, got-your-back (in any century) best friend everyone wants. It did take me awhile to get interested in the story but once they go back in time I became page-flipping excited.

The story reminded me a lot of watching an extended episode of Friends (which is still my favorite TV show). I like how Lia had a little mysterious secret going on and it kept me reading to see if my hunch was correct...(it was)! I think there‘s at least one of these characters that any reader could identify with or want to be like.

I loved everything about this book. The cover is awesome and the characters are so well developed. Blake is such a wonderful man. He‘s sweet and sincere yet holds a past that haunts him. He loves Livia is such an innocently passionate way. Cole, Beckett, and Blake are true brothers to the core and I love how they stood by one another through the ugliness of their lives.

Daniel and Sharron‘s storyline caught my attention because it was real and didn‘t have any teenage, love-triangle. My interest wasn‘t captivated like it was in “I Am Wolf”. I was hoping the end would be a climactic battle but Joann paused it for readers to continue into the next book.

I really enjoyed that this was from a male perspective. The Native American legend Joann created was very enjoyable. In the beginning I judged it as another werewolf YA love story but the further I read the darker this story became. It wasn‘t a typical teenage love triangle . Ralph‘s character adds a dark twist to the story Joann‘s writing is very visual and some of the sequences were ick inducing.

I was unable to really get involved with this story. While there are a lot of different creatures and aspects that definitely make this story a fantasy, there were too many similarities to modern teenage life for me: from music players called jcrystals and tekking (aka texting) to school life and bands. It simply didn‘t capture my attention. I often forget what I had read and new characters got lost in the shuffle for me

While this is a fictional story and many of the scenarios are heinous, as a reader I am all too aware that there is a reality to the underlying theme and it‘s far worse. There were a couple scenes that I felt were a bit farfetched, mostly to do with the girls‘ backstories and how they came to be in their situations.

If you‘re looking for a cheery, easy-breezy, romantic novel this is not it. There aren‘t too many books that can wring so many emotions from me but this one did. She includes topics of abuse, homelessness, homosexuality, power struggles, and the question of what would you do to achieve your dreams.

This book is absolutely fresh. From the mythical fates to the mystical unicorn it was something I‘d never read before. I loved the chemistry between Tessa and William. The only thing I didn‘t like was the fact that the book ended.

I liked Keegan‘s new ability which was interesting but the story lacked thrill. I didn‘t feel the chemistry between Keegan and Donald. Because Donald‘s character is more juvenile than Rourk‘s it brought out Keegan‘s immaturity which bored me. I needed Rourk to balance that out.

I can‘t express enough how much I enjoy this series. I liked that they take their mother with this time. The plague concept was a great addition to the story. It‘s refreshing to read a young adult novel that doesn‘t include sex and love triangles but focuses on loyalty and faith.

The setting of Tuscany was new to read about and I enjoyed visualizing somewhere different. I thought the way in which Gabi and Lia travel back in time was original as well. Lisa has put a lot of thought into creating a believable history for readers to fall into. Although Gabi and Lia are teenagers, when they are thrust back in time and forced to blend into the 14th century, they seem much older and that made the book more enjoyable for me.

This book is divided into two short stories. Heidi has given her character‘s witty and hilarious personalities. I liked Chloe and Aidan‘s story best. It seemed more heartfelt with conflict and family relations. I felt Chuck and Sebastian‘s story was too instantaneous and they never leave his home to involve outside factors. I don‘t care for short stories. There‘s never enough time to become invested in the characters.

This book was completely different from anything I‘ve read before. History, politics, action, suspense, religion and plenty of heart are all combined to create an amazing story. The concept of the story is different which I can appreciate but the overuse of God was ridiculous and the juvenile language was annoying. Phrases such as; bumping instead of having sex, pregg for giving birth, rilly instead of really. Melody‘s character was the more believable and likable of the twins. This magical virus that renders everyone over the age of 18 infertile is never explained, it just happens.

This is the steamiest book in the series; Susan upped the sizzle factor for Clay and Charlie. Both of them have been stereotyped for their looks. Charlie is an extremely likable character. It‘s nice to read books that allow you to catch up with previous characters. Shane and Annabelle‘s relationship was sweet but in their attempt to have no drama they became dull. I have never read a book about the Bubonic Plague and this sounded fascinating. I loved how it started with a flea‘s perspective of the plague. Most of the chapters start with an account of the plague from the animals that passed it along. Elaisse started out as a very annoying brat but she becomes much more likable. There is some romance mixed in the story but overall it‘s an imaginative tale of a very real horror in history.
