A radiant story of first love and self-acceptance for fans of John Green, Jandy Nelson, and Rainbow Rowell "Maybe we weren't meant to collide. Maybe we were meant to explode." As a closeted teenager in the Deep South with a holy-roller father and the scars to prove it, bookworm Cole Furman has resigned himself to experiencing life and love only within the pages of his favorite novels. But after Nick Flores seems to walk off a page and starts to rewrite his story, Cole finds his dreams spinning into a dazzling - and complicated - reality. If you have ever found yourself on the wild breathless thriller ride that is first love, Honesty will rip you back again in screaming color.

Here‘s a moment of honesty: after seeing the way Litsy‘s new owner talks to users, I‘ve cut down on my posting. I hate that. Litsy has always been a fun place and a place where I‘ve made new friends, but the attitude is a lot to handle.

wanderinglynn Oh no! That‘s no good and very disappointing. 😢 Is there a way to give them feedback on their interaction? (edited) 6y
WeeziesBooks @wanderinglynn After the way they‘ve responded to other people, I feel like it wouldn‘t do any good. There definitely seems to be an air of “look what I‘m doing for you ungrateful people”. I just can‘t ever imagine coming into a post and instead of explaining the situation, start yelling about “stupid accusations”. 6y
wanderinglynn That is unacceptable and not a good way to do business. 😕 6y

Reecaspieces Sorry to hear this. I have never had any trouble. I have met them both at book expo. Super nice guys. Are you on Facebook? They have a post up about some stuff. Might want to head over there. It‘s called onward Litsy. Someone was real ugly to them about something. So it may just be a residual effect. 6y
WeeziesBooks @Reecaspieces I‘m on the Facebook and I‘ve seen what happened here. No one was rude to him. Someone had legitimate concerns and instead of explaining, he decided to tell them that what they were saying is stupid. He is allowed to be frustrated, but that attitude isn‘t a good look. 6y
AmyG I have, too, found hem to be nice. I got the impression that they were trying to make Litsy better and more of what people want. Sometimes on the internet it‘s hard to guage how people “say” things...people get offended. Must be frustrating to owners and users. 6y
WeeziesBooks @AmyG I‘m sure it is, but again, telling users their thoughts are “stupid” is not how you run a business. 6y
Reecaspieces @AmyG very good point! (edited) 6y

@RachelO - your #TravelingBook , Between the Acts, is on its way to you. ( @River_Voice )

@Caroline2 - your #whodunituk book will be with you soon!

How does everyone always make their parcels look so neat and tidy? Mine always look like a dog‘s breakfast. And the preparation process is even uglier! 😱

#HonestPhotos

TrishB Mine never do! 7y
rockpools Ooh! Thank you 😊! 7y

Caroline2 Mine always look like they were taped up by a toddler!! Why is it so hard to get the tape smooth and straight?! 😆 7y
Libby1 @caroline2 - it‘s utterly impossible. I think you‘re either born with that skill or you‘re not. You‘ll see my latest handiwork when this gets to you! 7y
Caroline2 Ohhh can‘t wait!! 😃 although I haven‘t even started my whodunit book yet!!!! 😬 I‘m going to need to do some serious power reading this wkend!! 🤓 7y
Libby1 Good luck, @Caroline2 . I‘ve had a number of buddy reads or traveling books come home to roost this month so I‘ve been a bit feverish working through them so I can get back to my regular TBR! 😂😬 7y
thegirlwiththebookishcandle I'm used to packing boxes because of the shop, doesn't mean I'm great at it but I'm getting better lol. The only thing is that i always want to reuse old packaging and amazon boxes because I hate waste but then that can be disappointing for the person receiving it 😕 6y

😢😢 Only 6% in and it's already killing me.

bookishkai Right? Be prepared, this book will do that over and over and over. 8y
Yamich49 @bookishkris Oh god. Thanks for the warning I guess. 😜 Although I do somewhat recollect your posts about it so I should've remembered it wasn't the easiest book. Why do I do this to myself? 🙄😉😆 8y

Pickpick

Oh my god. I've been put through a wringer with this one! First of all, as beautifully written as this is, it's not an easy book by any stretch. Though nothing is phrased explicitly, it hit triggers for me about mental illness and abuse cycles in relationships; it's a stark and real book. Nothing I say here is going to do it justice. It was intense and important and amazing. A good pick for my fifth #bookisholympics read.

Oh, this feeling, when you find that person you never need words with, they just get you in the ways nobody else does.

Uuuuuuuggggggghhhhhh, killing me. These boys. The slow burn, the breathlessness, the way the writing tugs you in and tumbles over you. It's SO good, and I'm sure that's going to make it hurt even more when everything falls apart.

Bibliogeekery I love learning about new #queerbooks! Thx! 8y

So far, so amazing. Sparse, beautiful language and observations that make you gasp. I love it, and I'm savoring every word.

Bailedbailed

Gave up at 35%. Excruciatingly boring and incredibly unimaginative. It's everything the narrator himself says he hates in these books.
