This book is a great story to teach students that even if people look different from you, they are still the same on the inside. You could use this to build a lesson about primary colors. Or this could be used to talk about how everybody is different and everybody is made from different cultures. Lessons would incorporate what makes your students them.
Week 2: Picture Books! Such a cute book. This teaching caring about others even if they are different. Love its positivity. Published July 3, 2018.
There is nothing so magical as reading a book and realizing it is exactly the right age/level for the kids you‘re reading it with. Reading this book about color mixing (and, you know, racism and colorism and difference) with K-2nd grade this week while we make optical illusion tops that “mix” colors as they spin. #librariansofLitsy #outreach #picturebook #kidlit
Mixed: A Colorful Story is an adorable NF picture book that gives the message of acceptance and unity. The story of how the Reds, Yellows, and Blues come together to create a colorful society. This book would be great as a PR between your students because they can read it together and share their feelings about the book in a safe environment. #lae3414sp19
This book is amazing! I really enjoyed how it low key talks about race through colors ❤️❤️
1. Mostly green (the 📗 I'm reading)
2. Bright blue (e-reader cover)
3. I love 🌹, so there is a wide range of colors (fav. flowers' color)
4. It's Totoro, so gray and green (bookmark)
5. My bookshelves have almost none not-bookish items
6. The book is Red Rising...
7.... by Pierce Brown
8. I've just been to the bookstore and saw this colorful Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

Thanks, @Kaye, that was fun! 🤗
At first glance, this is a book about primary and secondary colors. Under the right hands, however, it could be so much more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
