I wanted to like this one. I really did. I was so hopeful when I found what I assumed would be a really fun series. But it was so boring. 230 pages took me 10 days to finish. It just dragged and dragged. I do wonder if some of the others would be better since they are different authors.

Lchnessmnstr So sorry! That‘s such a drag! 6y

Really hoping I can get through this one before it completely falls apart. It's a library book, and it's on its last legs I'm afraid. Every page creaks when I turn it, and they're all split about halfway up the spine.

DGRachel That‘s sad about the library book, but that quilt in the background is GORGEOUS! 😍😍 7y
ConjurorOfWords Poor book. I hate seeing them like that. Hopefully it stays together for you. *fingers crossed* 7y
ThatBookishGal As a librarian.....DISCARD! It has been well loved and lived a good life. It‘s time for a rest. 7y

Traci1 @DGRachel thanks. 😊 7y
Traci1 @ThatBookishGal yeah I was thinking about replacing it with a new copy if I could track one down. It's in pitiful shape. 7y
Traci1 @ConjurorOfWords I hate it too. And it makes me wonder how it got that way. My assumption is someone donated the ones they have because they have 5 from the series, not in any order, and they're all kinda rough - this one's the worst. 7y
ThatBookishGal @Traci1 it‘s so hard, especially when it is an older book and harder to track down. I hate telling people we don‘t have an older series because...chances are we used to have it but it fell apart and now it‘s hard to find a replacement for it 7y
Traci1 @ThatBookishGal so when you say discard, does that mean thrown out or sold at a library sale or? 7y
ThatBookishGal @Traci1 At my library....with the shape that is in, we will just recycle it. Won‘t even make it to the Friends of the Library Bookstore. But every library is different. (edited) 7y
ConjurorOfWords @Traci1 Yea. You wonder if they were in bad shape when they were given to the library or if people who took them out just didn't treat the books well. I've seen it at my library. Makes me sad. 7y
bookaholic1 A good book is a well read one 7y
cozynarwhal @bookaholic1 I agree. I love a bent paperback, or a faded hardcover with a loose spine. 7y
bookaholic1 Yes I hear you there 7y
