Septimus Heap, the apprentice to Marcia the Extraordinary Wizard, must have an attempt at dark magic before he is able to complete his apprenticeship. During his journey, Septimus must save Alther Mella, an accidentally banished past Extra Ordinary Wizard, in order to save his friends and everyone else in the castle from the consuming Darke Domain and the danger it presents.

Jenna.Sawatzky I would recommend this book to anyone that likes reading fantasy, particularly about wizards. The book, however, is targeted toward a slightly younger audience, but I still enjoyed it. The story is written in the third person omniscient point of view, as the narrator can switch between the perspectives of different characters from chapter to chapter; the narrator does not focus on just Jenna and Septimus, the two main protagonists. 3y
MissYaremcio I had this whole series when I was a kid! You just brought back memories for me! 6/6 3y

The magyk of Septimus Heap is back in full swing. The main characters have really found their place with each other. Working together, and Septimus and Jenna as equals, it‘s really a good book.

Just finished the 6th book in the Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage. One of my favorite series. If you haven't read this series I highly recommend you do. Especially if you're a Harry Potter fan! Now on to book number 7, Fyre.
