Out of all the times I‘ve attempted a #readathon, this may be the 1st time I completed my goals and finished it completely.
What was different this time entirely was that I was living in my new space with just my son and he KNEW I was doing it and he encouraged me. Imagine that.

When Ilya arrives in America for a hard earned year as an exchange student it should be a dream come true. Instead all he can think about is the brother he left behind in Russia who has just been arrested for murder. This was a perfect fect readathon choice because it was unputdownable. Tragic yet still hopeful, this book details Ilya‘s life before America as well as how he tries to set his brother free. #24in28

My total after day 1 of #24in28. Wish I could be reading more but I have lots of real-life responsibilities this weekend. Most of my reading has been audiobook while driving between commitments. Using my 3rd reread of The Night Circus to do so.

#24in28 #readathon #audiobook challenge! I listened to two audiobooks on my drive back to Boston from North Dakota in May. That‘s the only way I can make a 1,710 mile drive on my own! I didn‘t love Tangerine, but I think I liked it more on audio than I would have on paper.

My #swissarmybookrec. I normally give people three or four recalls at a time b/c I‘m always afraid they won‘t like the initial one I give them and want them to have options. But this is probably the one I recommend the most as it has a little bit of everything.

#24in28‘s hour 42 challenge is a book you can recommend to anyone and everyone. A “Swiss Army Book.” I‘m going to go with Ove. I‘d recommend this to my grandma, I did give it to my mom (she loved it), I think just about anyone could love this book if they gave it, and Ove, a chance. 💙

I‘m closer to reaching my goal than I thought, so I‘m going to take a little break (and probably nap lol). Really enjoying this book. I relate to Rhimes a lot (I mean, minus the whole three hit shows and meeting Obama and Oprah part).
