We are now in Alesund, Norway via the Atlantic Ocean Rd., which is supposed to make its debut in the upcoming James Bond movie. Apparently in the winter it is one of the most dangerous roads in the world because the Atlantic Ocean is smashing waves across it.

Kimzey Beautiful! 5y
TrishB That‘s awful....I hate bridges over water. Would be crying going over this! 5y
Cinfhen Stunning 🤩 5y

Susannah That is an amazing photo, but you‘d have to sedate me to get me over that bridge. 😲 5y
Crazeedi I think this might scare me a bit !!🤔 5y
Texreader @Kimzey @TrishB @Cinfhen @Susannah @Crazeedi It‘s an odd bridge and road. Much shorter than the map suggests and not nearly so tall as it looks. In bad weather/ocean conditions, though, I assume it can be very scary. The one thing that did disturb me: the bridge is very very narrow like many roads here. It felt claustrophobic with cars coming the other direction. Oh and it‘s got a bit of a tilt. That‘s a bit disconcerting too (edited) 5y

It‘s been a week, Littens. So much going on—some happy and some sad. But this morning I‘m off to Gaithersburg, MD for their annual Book Festival. It‘s been on my radar since @MarticaMustRead posted about it last year. I‘m excited for author talks and book signings. Just hoping the rain doesn‘t get torrential!

MarticaMustRead That's awesome!! Yes, hopefully the rain will be minimal for u. I'm so bummed I'm going to miss it today but we have the munchkin's (my beau's daughter) birthday party today... have fun for me!! It's such a wonderful event! 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa @LibrarianRyan @Buddys_Momma @MarticaMustRead Oh sad news. I‘m almost there and have some mild vertigo. So I‘ve stopped, called my family, and they‘re coming to get me. 😰😰 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘m so sorry to hear that. Please feel better soon and take care. 6y
LauraBeth Hope you‘re feeling better soon ❤️❤️ 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @LauraBeth Thanks! I actually feel better than when I first stopped. But the whole fiasco has exhausted me. 😰😍 6y
Buddys_Momma Oh no—I hope you are home and resting well today. Hope you feel better soon! 💜 (edited) 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I hope by now you‘re back home and feeling much better. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Buddys_Momma @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Thanks. I am home. Amazingly my DH volunteered to go the festival with me once he arrived. I felt well enough to give it a try. But scheduling got in the way of seeing the talks I wanted and also the books signed. Plus, I was just tired. So we came home after an hour or so. I‘m terribly disappointed since I was looking forward to it so much. Sh*t happens. 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BarbaraTheBibliophage Yes! Life has a very bad habit of getting in the way of our plans. It was very nice of him to make the effort though. Sorry the day just wasn‘t cooperating. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa You bet it does. DH and BIL are my heroes today, literally coming to my rescue. One the upside, I finished my IRL book group book while I waited. Determined to get this biography done tonight also! 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BarbaraTheBibliophage Well I‘m glad you‘re home safe and sound, and I‘ll let you get back to that biography...even after a bad day, sometimes that book finish gives you a great sense of accomplishment anyway.😉 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Thank you for understanding and caring! 😍 6y
kspenmoll Barbara so sorry you could not get there. But glad you have the support you need. Take care & feel better.💕💕 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @kspenmoll Yeah, it was a huge disappointment. It‘s been a rough week—my good friend died Thursday. I was hoping for a cheer-up. But it‘s all okay. Tomorrow starts the annual library book sale so I‘ll be in line when they open—I hope! 6y

🚞 Train! However I'm always game for a road trip but only as a passenger
🏖 Best so far: beaches of Jamaica🌊. I'd love to visit Northern California, Washington state, Oregon, and New England ❤️
🍁 In September, a cabin on the Mississippi River in Wisconsin, then on to UP🍂
