This book is about a little girl who hears a man who lives on the hill and helps him solve the issue of it being very windy. This would be MF and would be good with S technique because of how it flows. This would be a good book to also tie in with a science lesson as it has to do with planting trees. UDL principle 1.1 with displaying information and EL 44.

I like how you are explaining the universal design and English learner strategies however you must also include the verbiage along with the number or decimal. Be sure to do this on each post. 4y

Using repetitious words and cadences, Scanlon writes a simple, telling tale of the importance of intuition and ingenuity to solve problems. This is also an environmental story, with a small more older explanation at the end of the story. The illustrations are rustic, but so perfect for this story. The wind blew so hard at a house the owner had no idea what to do. But, Kate figured out what to do...

sboynt This would work great as a book to use in a storytelling technique. The pages are simple and lyrical, and flow really nicely. Other teaching techniques that could be used with this book are RA, CR, GR, and IR. sboynt The UDL 3.2 guideline highlighting patterns, critical features, and relationships would be very useful with this text. ESOL 44 of focusing on thinking skills would relate well with the UDL and the book. 7y
