“Tony was all white, large, sturdy, with wide gentle eyes and a ton of love.”
I think children would like this book especially because it is about a horse and children tend to love animals.
Tony was written by Ed Galing and published in 2017. The book is about a horse and his driver. The horse does wonderful things and helps out in any way he can. The book is one big poem with little snippets on each page. I like the illustrations because they are simplistic but creative.
A sweet, soothing book with the tone of a lullaby about a horse named Tony and his owner. It has calming colors and soft lines and a soft, easy tone even though it doesn‘t rhyme
Tony by Ed Galing (poetry, published 2017) is about a big, white, loving horse and his man Tom. It isn‘t a typical poem, but it has a lullaby-ish rhythm to it and is nice to read. I found it to be relaxing, with the east reading and calming illustrations.
Tony by Ed Galing published in 2017 was a cute short poem about a horse named Tony. Tony was a very loved horse by many people! And he always carried around a wagon full of milk, butter, and eggs.and his owners name was Tom Jones. It is a very short poem and I think younger children would really enjoy this quick read.
Published in 2017- Tony is a unique story. What really stands out in this book is the illustrations. They are sketches that almost make you feel like you‘re there with them in the middle of the night. It evokes a calm feeling. The words are simple, but they have great meaning. The person describing the horse (Tony) loves him and did not need big words to show that. The poem does not rhyme, but tells a story, and evokes a feeling in the reader
This poem would be great for 3rd graders as it shows a different form of poetry not many people use.
This book was an interesting but face paced read. Not repetitive in any way but very descriptive. The sound of the poem is very somber.
I would not use this book in my future classroom because I think that students would find it uninteresting because of how slow it feels to read.
