Good for what it is. A little cheesy.

I enjoyed this. Maggie‘s boyfriend left her because she was depressing. She‘d just miscarried, her practice was closed because of criminal partners and she was being sued because she was unable to save a drunk teenager who had been in a deadly accident. She escapes to her father‘s mountain campground where she meets Cal, also trying to find himself after losing the love of his life.
WHAT WE FIND by Robyn Carr is a story that made me laugh and tear-up a few times. The setting was described perfectly, great characters, and a sweet HEA ending. Though the novel was enjoyable it has description overload, and that for me brings it to a 3* read.
Anyone else see TV show trailers and immediately check to see if they are based on books? Sullivan's Crossing looks so good! Hoopla has the series by Robyn Carr and the first one is good, an open door romance with drama, healing, family, and a beautiful setting. Will definitely keep reading this series.
Update: watched two episodes- many differences but I'm hopeful with RC being on hand it won't stray too much farther. 🫣 Why do they do that?
I love the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr and I was so excited to start another of her series and I really loved this book. This is the first in the Sullivan‘s Crossing series and I am already wanting book two! I found out the show will be on the CW so I‘m super excited to watch the show as well.
I really enjoyed Maggie and Cal's journey to happiness. Two people who start off thinking they are complete opposite end up realizing that they are more alike than they thought. They are essentially looking for the came thing...someone to travel life's journey that they can cherish.
I really enjoyed this book.
Robyn Carr's are well written, the characters are always ones that you can relate to. Her books always invite you in for a great read.
This is only the second book I've ever read by her, I like them because she doesn't have a lot of sex in them, and have an actual storyline.
I know I will be reading more of her books
#birthdaybookhaul pt 6? I adore Robyn Carr‘s books and I haven‘t read these yet. Used from Lowery‘s.
I felt like this book really dragged on. It wasn't that interesting of a story to begin with, and I felt like it never ended! I included a picture of a chicken salad I recently ordered because I felt like it was perfect example of the book. Kind of bland, and tastelessly went on for too long.
"Just living is not enough...One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower"
I always enjoy relaxing with a Robyn Carr book, this one from her Sullivan's Crossings series.
This was boring for me. There was so much going on and I just felt like the focus wasn‘t there. I started to not really care what happened by the end, I just wanted to get to the end.
I don't know if I was influenced by everything that is going on in the world in general now, but I found this book a bit too dark! Everywhere you looked there was heartache and sadness. As I said, I am have been influenced by outside factors, but I fast forwarded a few chapters. I generally like Robyn Carr, and I know her books are not generally light and fluffy, but I had a hard time with this one.
Book is okay so far. Quotes in between chapters are great!
