This is a nonfic about the history of fonts . It's actually quite interesting. There's several photo examples in the book and some surprising stories too.

#SeptemberDanes I raided my sons shelves again yesterday... this is the opposite of #nothingincommon 😉🙃
Who knew people could get so worked up about fonts? 😂 dropping F bombs lol
How you ever been somewhere, and seen a book and immediately thought of someone who would love it.... but then you realize that someone is actually a character from another book you've read, and not an actual person. That was me today.... Anyone who has read My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry would agree that Elsa's dad would love this book. 😂
I found a booth with a bunch of these, but since I'm not rich I couldn't afford to buy them all. I settled on these to start off my collection. Love them!
I wish I could remember who recommended this book to me, but it was rather interesting and a fairly quick read. (There are a lot of pictures.) It's essentially a cultural history of font design, with bits of typeface design logic thrown in. Great for design nerds. #readinglog
This weekend my husband made me a new bookshelf and I bought a sweet vintage typewriter 😍
Loved this book! I adored On The Map, so I knew I was going to like Just My Type before I began, but I didn't realize how quickly I would get through it or how much I would learn. Garfield does a great job of balancing information on printing, computers, the people behind the fonts, and the fonts themselves. I would 100% recommend this (I'm already making my roommate who is a designer read it, if that's any indication) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This used to be my tube stop! Loving this book so far and am excited to continue.

The chapter on Eric Gill is reason enough to recommend this book. I read it almost entirely in the car during lunch breaks

Oh, those wordy language books! They make #textonlycovers for #booktober easy! I read Just My Type a few years ago and loved it. A fun way to geek out about the fonts you know/love/hate.
Type Books is my local and my workplace! Slinging kids books here for the last 4 years and it's been glorious. #bookstorelove #septphotochallange
Who wants to read a book about fonts?! Exactly, not many, lol, but prodigious readers such as us on Litsy deal with fonts all the time, & we may find a great deal of pleasure in this fount of font knowledge. SG goes through the histories & usages of many fonts in a fun & engaging manner. This isn't some dry typographical-nerd tome. I've re-read it twice so far. You'll garner an impressive font foundation. #PairWith: a Long Island iced tea, cold.
