Fun & witty read. I love the author‘s podcast which led me to her book. Her humor is so relevant & uplifting.

A short book full of truths and humor.
Hatmaker shares her faith in a relatable way and makes her readers feel like friends.
Time for a new book ~ found this on my bookshelf and can't remember where I got it but the timing is right. ♥️
So much #LitsyLove from @sharread that I need to share 2 pictures. I'll be repurposing these lovely stickers as well.
DNF 1/2 way in, nothing in it related to me and at times I felt she was complaining. I tried but this novel seems to be for a married woman with children. There was a few common sense suggestions to but that's it.

“Let the teachers teach, the parents parent, and the kids do the learning.” Preach.
At first I was confused, this book is faith based, but where was the gospel, where was the Word?? But I kept on, Jen writes as if she‘s in your living room, just chatting. She‘s witty and fun. And then it hits you, the inspiring, hope filled words, the authentic Word. It‘s intense, it‘s real and it‘s sincere. It filled me with strength to forge on with my faith. If you don‘t read any of the book, read this chapter, On Woman, it‘s all you‘ll need
A day of rest is a good day to read. I adore Jen Hatmaker, inspiring, and fun to read.
Jen knows all. For serious.
"What in the actual heck??" One of my favorite quotes so far...great listen so far, read by the author.
#17booklove Day 4: Love in the Title. Love this gem by Jen Hatmaker. She would fit in with my people.
I'm about 10 years younger than Hatmaker's target audience, and I'm unmarried and have no "bigs" or "littles". I actually really enjoyed her essays on the Church, missions, church leaders, etc. and was inspired by some of her writing about relationships. Her humor fell pretty flat for me and I didn't want the recipes included in this book. I'm not part of her core fan base, but I could see For the Love being great for others more like the author.
Listened to this on audio. Hilarious and freeing and wise, highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I do most of my ereading and listening these days on my phone. I use overdrive and one click digital for library books and audiobooks, kindle rarely for sales, nook to add to my digital library, and bluefire for my netgalley reads. 😊📚😊
Had to bite my tongue not to say YESS out loud on the train. "When "friend time" consistently feels like a beatdown it's time to reevaluate. This isn't complicated: a friend should behave like a friend, not a critic, a cynic, gossip, mother, doubter or hater."
"we need to quit trying to be awesome and instead be wise" yes yes yes!! what is draining you dry in life? cut it!
Checking in again with the #readathon which is going great but also weird. Almost done with this 3rd book. I wasn't planning to read it. But my kindle froze and I just needed to feel like there are still Christians around who believe in Grace. Could not have chosen better.
So good! I love this. She gets straight to the heart of it. Love God. Love people. That is it! She is so funny and honest. For the Love for the win!
We "love" people the way we "love" ourselves, and if we are not good enough, then no one is. ~ Jen Hatmaker
