I am having a very slow reading week - lots of other projects going on - but FINALLY finished my first book for the #BacklistReadathon !! This wasn't my favorite Shalvis book by a long shot - it's borderline so-so for me. I liked the actual story and the characters, but way too much of this was just Maddie and Jax lusting for each other and acting like it's a horrible betrayal that the other hasn't shared all their deep-dark secrets despite the⬇️

After reading a Lucky Harbor Novella I had an itch to reread the first book in the series. Loved it just as much as all the times before, and got an extra bonus that it took place at Christmas time! #WinterGames2020 #ReadNosedReindeer

Day 2 of the #Top20Series is the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. I would recommend anything by Shalvis. Her books are amazing and she's an auto-buy author for me. But this is the first series I read by her and holds a special place in my heart. They are romance but her characters are relatable and so funny. I always laugh reading her books.

Day 25: Guilty Genre. It's Romance books! I love them all! I read all the genres. Paranormal, contemporary, mystery, historical, YA, NA, Adult and everything but it has to have Romance in it. #booksacrossoceans

I love Jill Shalvis's novels. Just feel good, mushy, gushy, happy endings! This book reminds me of Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series, which is one of my favorites.

Sitting crosslegged in the grass reading, while the kids ride their bikes. A perfect Spring evening!

Enjoyed! A nice escape read featuring a small-town + siblings + meddling townspeople 👉🏻 these are some of my favorite features in any type of story.

The three sisters remind me of myself + my two sisters-they made me laugh + smile throughout. I liked Jax and Tara (who are not a couple) but the other characters' issues + secrecy grated on me at various times. STILL! This is a fun series beginner + I look forward to continuing with the next book.

The Lucky Harbor series has been recommended to me for AGES. Since the cover of this first book looks pretty
winter-y + cold weather-y, I've decided that now is the time for me to give it a go (even though it was 77 degrees here today in my part of NC).

Has anyone read the Lucky Harbor series? Or Jill Shalvis? I've read one of her other books before + I liked it 👍🏻
