I liked this one a lot! There were nods to the comics, friendship is still important, and everyone gets to be who they are. I'm feeling optimistic about the sequels.

I love the adventures and the food. #DeweysReadathon
For #Deweys24hourReadathon I have an unrealistic amount of stacks but this one is the quicker reads. Graphic novels and middle grade fantasy with ghosts, werewolves, unicorns, and others included too.
As a fan of the graphic novel, I was ecstatic to see a novel version of Lumberjanes and I was not disappointed. Still had wonderful illustrations throughout the book to depict the new characters. This time around the girls stumble across a unicorn which leads them to a strange mountain. April is intrigued and wants to climb the mountain that doesn't exist on any map. As usual, the girls get in trouble and get themselves into a wild adventure.
Just stopped for a quick #libraryhaul. Our 8-year-old niece is sleeping over this week. We‘ve been reading the Lumberjanes comics aloud for the last few years when she visits, and this week seems like a good time to introduce the chapter books! Got her the first two so she has choices, and some YA comics that are... also definitely for her and not me😉😂
A chilly, quiet Sunday morning. Reading something light and fun to switch it up 😊 Happy Sunday!
Looking for road trip book suggestions! I'm taking these two cuties (8, 11) on a road trip and I'm looking for good audiobooks and read aloud books. They love Lumberjanes, Harry Potter, good mysteries etc. Any thoughts?
Look at these adorable books @lacythebookworm got me from ALA Midwinter! And they are signed! Super cute doodles and signature photos coming soon!
And now I am going to have Ace of Base stuck in my head for the rest of the night. 😂😜
More "light" reading as I crawl into bed
I read the Lumberjanes with my nieces in the book club we have together. We all really enjoyed this one! We liked the story, the chapter format, and spending more time with such beloved characters. Friendship to the Max! #queerbooks
I love the Lumberjanes graphic novel series and have often wished for a novel starring this group that I could read to Haven at bedtime. I walked into the library a week ago and this book was staring me right in the face!
Mariko Tamaki captures the personalities in Roanoke cabin that we have come to know so well and the spirit of friendship to the max! I can't wait to read book 2 in a few months.
Excited my hold for the Lisa Wingate came through in time for the weekend and surprised to find it takes place in Aiken, SC (about 25 minutes from me)
Almost done with book 1 of Buffy (fun seeing what happened after the movie!)
Also how did I not know about the Lumberjanes novel??! 😍
Really enjoying this first Lumberjanes middle grade novel-- so much so that it's distracting me from more pressing concerns, like walking the impatient dog... #dogsoflitsy
Lunchtime reading! 💯
I loved this book!! 5🌟super cute!! https://jilljemmett.com/2017/10/10/review-unicorn-power-lumberjanes-1/ #books #lumberjanes
A coworker brought this directly to me and I did not let it out of my sight 'til I owned it. No shame.
How did I not know about this until now?? Friendship to the max!! 🙆🏻
More Lumberjanes!!! Loved this chapter book and hoping it will get more kids interested in this awesome series of graphic novels and now chapter books. Loved that the unicorns smelled really bad lol.
This was very cute and fun. I liked learning a little more about the girls, and it felt true to the graphic novels. I hope there's a second one!
I'm trying to decide what to read since I usually have a couple of books on the go. I think I'll give this a try tonight! (Happy I got to borrow this arc from a friend!)
A Lumberjanes novel! ❤️❤️❤️
Here are the books I'm thinking of reading in July for a monthlong read-a-thon that I'm helping host with @sumptuousbooks ♥ I just posted an intro post on my blog if you want to have a look! If you're joining us, tag your posts with #sumtbreadathon ~ (No need to count, it's 22 books.)
