Book 1 finished for #24B4Monday Readathon.
This series has got better as the series progresses, and this one left us on a bit of a cliff hanger that makes you immediately want to pick up the next book in the series. I still feel, however, they could and should be shorter which would allow for some more pace and tension. This could easily take good books into the great books territory. Now I need to get hold of book 4.
I read this in one sitting today! Another great page-turner in the Joona Linna series. Highly recommend this series for all crime fiction fans. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Continuing my Mother's Day readathon by jumping back into this wonderful series.
We were originally supposed to be in Saint Lucia today for my cousin's wedding which has, for obvious reasons, been postponed. 😪 so instead I am in my room with an ocean sounds Playlist on spotify 😂😂

This is a very intense, violent book. It was a page turner and I appreciate archives.org for opening their library. It has distressing themes which revolve around children so be warned. I'm glad that I finally know Joona's personal history. It makes him even more relatable. #NordicNoir

Mysterious murder at wayward girls‘ home. One girl is dead, another is missing. Joona Linna must now discover who did this. The chapters are short so reading isn‘t a chore and the plot pace is steady. Needs some editing as book is too long. We learn more about Linna‘s past life with his wife and daughter. Recommend for those who like psychological thrillers Looking forward to book 4.
Now I understand why people rave about Kepler! A super dark book. So much better than before! A girl and a woman are found murdered at a place for troubled girls. The teenage murderer has escaped and she has kidnapped a boy. Joona is trying to figure out what happened. A lot has happened, several twists and turns! Joona‘s darkest secret is revealed. Wow, I tell you! Due to the ending I can‘t wait to read the fourth book in the series. 4,5 stars.
It‘s great to see authors getting better and better! The third book in the Joona Linna series is moving forward, no annoying side plots, the story is gripping... I haven‘t finished it yet, but, yes, right now I‘m happy I continued reading this series! #NordicNoir
I‘m heading out of town tomorrow and I can only get this as audio from my library. I guess I‘m gonna take the long way. #TheAudiobookIsLongerThanTheDrive

The plot is psychologically tense & spine-chilling & revolves around the detective as the main character rather than a mere point-of-view perspective, which is quite clever. The questions WHO & WHY keep circling back & forth in your head as each episode in the novel slowly gives way for a more convoluted event.Fortunately, the WHO is unravelled only towards the end of the novel accompanied by sub-plots building up to it.
Must read for mystery lovers!
I enjoyed my time in #Sweden with 'The Fire Witness'. A classic suspense novel in the 'Nordic Noir' genre. I liked this book more than the first two in the series, as there weren't as many logical breaches in this one. Guessed the murderer quite early though 🙈 Also liked that we got to know Joona L more, and that he wasn't just in the background. A tiny bit to long though.

So this morning I was really caught by surprise when out biking - all of a sudden the sky opened up and the rain was massive! 💦 On the plus side I was prepared later on when joining a sightseeing group, and we all had these lovely, yellow rain ponchos.
Now I am planning on spending my evening in the bath at my friends place, and enjoy my book and the company:) For now, I'll just have to wait out the storm before traveling to my next destination.
Looks like I will be hanging in #Sweden for quite a bit, this terrible weather just came upon us out of nowhere 🌪💨⛈🇸🇪
Luckily I am still enjoying my time here, fingers crossed for better weather next week🤞🏻😂

Enjoying my literary #backpackeurope trip very much, so fun seeing all the stories and cool pictures from all the travellers.
#Sweden is great! Today I decided I needed some action, and this was the result! 😜Spend the day at #gronalund in #Stockholm, and I definitely felt this one in my stomach! 🙈Great fun!!
Oh my, these covers 😍 I just can‘t get enough of mystery books 📚 and Lars Kepler has become one of my favorite! 👏
My favorite Detective Joona Linna book in the series so far 🙌🏽 Love listening to this one for the second time. Now I'm caught up so that I can read the next book in the series, The Sandman! 🕵🏻
The third Detective Joona Linna book started today! From what I remember it was my favorite one so I can't wait to get into on on my drives to work & class 🕵🏻
Just done reading this book; absolutely loved it! This book had me hooked. Love Joona Linna 😁.
