What a wonderful book 🤩

Santa bought this one but we have been busy reading walliams so only just getting around to it. I had a feeling we would enjoy it.
Highly recommend this for little ones, my daughter loved it. There is acknowledgment of our amazing #janeausten , Anne frank , emmeline Pankhurst and other fabulous women throughout history

#MagicalMay Day 6: #NursesDay reminded me of this picturebook featuring fantastic women including Mrs Seacole who happened to be a half Scottish, half Jamaican nurse who joined a group of medical professionals to help out soldiers during the Crimean War. Sophoclessweetheart @Cathythoughts Spontaneous indeed. A moment of madness. The outcome is that I have to sell the books. I‘d already agreed to it before starting to pack them and the courier is coming to collect them in the morning. Can‘t back out now - what‘s done in done. All I can do is remind myself never to do this again and then look forward to replacing them like @Cinfhen says 🖤🖤🖤👀👀👀 7y

wanderinglynn I did a major purged once. I ended up rebuying most of what I purged. 😂 Now I am very careful about purging too much. 7y

tpixie @Cathythoughts yes- I moved to a smaller house and that helped. ( and seeing how much grandparents kept in their house that nobody really wanted once they passed made me realize we hold onto stuff a little longer than we need to) 7y

I read these lovely little picture books on international woman‘s day. They‘re for children so after reading them I promptly gave them to my three year old daughter to add to her library. So we just finished watching the TV series of The Handmaid's Tale. Wow, in the most terrible way. I think I'll be reading this with my little girl and hugging her a bit tighter today. It has also made me want to read Margaret Atwood - I'm not sure I've ever finished any of her books. Any recommendations where to start? Which is your favourite? #raisingreaders

Cathythoughts The TV Handmaids Tale was excellent! I agree. I also read & recommend Alias Grace & The Blind Assassin. More recently I read The Heart Goes Last , another dystopian story, it was excellent too. (edited) 7y
