The Other Girl | 
pickI finished this one and I‘ve been in such a reading slump it‘s the first one I‘ve finished in about 2 months. Spindler kind of backtracks and tells the story through a different time line. You kind of learn the key players and what happened before you learn who The Other Girl is. Her identity was a surprise to me. Some may call it a far fetched plot but I thought it was fast paced and reminiscent of old Lifetime movies.

Why I like to read thrillers? They force me to use my little grey cells to decipher, untangle and examine every conversation, every action of the characters. They give me a rush. I expect them to be, well, thrilling. The first few chapters had me hooked. The book was unputdownable until, like a popped balloon the story just fizzled into a mass of convenient and predictable plot twists. It was a fun, fast read but too cliché for my taste. 3⭐️
While my youngest gets his braces put on, I‘m finally getting to this #netgalleyarc, which has actually been out for a while now. 🤦♀️ I‘m only 8% in but it already has my complete attention.
pickThis was a really great thriller that kept me guessing and wondering until the very end. Every time I thought I had something figured out, the author threw in another wrench. It was a great story that combined two crimes past and present and the connections between them. Awesome ending and great characters. I really liked this one! #goodreadsgiveaways

so-soStrong start with a nice hook, but it deflates quickly. There were too many conveniences in the plot which could‘ve been avoided if the back story/side plots were fleshed out. For a cop, Miranda is a little daft—she misses a obvious clues. I didn't find it overly psychological in nature, and the story was lacking a good twist. That being said, this was still an enjoyable read and I would definitely read this author again.
pickEnjoyed this book. It was fast paced. I thought I had figured out who had committed the murder, then, with Erica Spindler's writing, I thought I was wrong. At the end of the book, I ended up being right. One of the reasons I liked it. Happy Reading!
Finished this book. Though I guessed who the killer was part way through it didn‘t take away from this book being fast paced and to the point. I totally enjoyed it!

pick🍭🍭🍭🍭This is a fast paced read. If I had not been working, I probably would have finished this in one sitting. This has a wonderful rhythm. However, it is just a regular mystery. I very seldom mention the price of a book…that is up to the reader on whether it is worth their money. But, $12.99 for this ebook. Not sure it is worth that money. pickThe strong start had me hooked right from the beginning and I liked the balance between the flashbacks to the past and the present. Miranda isn‘t exactly likeable, but her character development is well done and there is no doubt she is an interesting one. I did see the ending coming quite early, but still had an excellent time reading The Other Girl.

so-soGreat puzzle. Enjoyed the female character power and the fact she was not giving in to man turning her down. Did not enjoy the romantic developments in this book. Felt sudden and forced.
pickJust the sort of book you want to curl up on the sofa with and read without interruption. Thoroughly enjoyable with realistic characters. One chance meeting changes the course of a girl's life but the crime that happened in her childhood is going to raise its head and demand attention.
