I really enjoyed this first book in this series! Set in Mount Rainier national Park in 1927; I love the adventurous spirit of Margie and the reluctantly trusting character of Ford. I despise to the character of Carmichael as we were intended to 😂 The narrator on this audiobook did a fabulous job and I look forward to listening to the next in the series!
Poetically delightful...sweet...romantic...an excellent dose of fiestiness and learning to overcome one's mountains.
I'm creating my TBR list of new to me authors who will be attending the Fiction Readers Summit in August. I've already requested Karen Barnett's latest release. According to MelCat, it is in transit on its way to me.
I am sick again, and shivering under many blankets. At least I have a bit of historical fiction set in a national park to keep me entertained.
I really enjoyed this historical fiction tale of mountain adventures, national parks, faith, love, and a realistic independent woman (with flaws). The plot was complex and the characters seemed to develop at a natural pace as well as they lived up to their annoying weaknesses. I could have gone for some longer scenes and stronger secondary characters though.
