Day 3: Missing Person Day
This was a good one. Now I just have to find more books by this author 👌🏼
The story had promise but it turned out to be disappointing. Unsympathetic characters, unbelievably dense police detectives and a reveal that was an anticlimax. Rating: 2/5.
Ganska medelmåttig och stundtals förutsägbar deckare. Obehagliga brott.
Another great crime novel by one of my favorite Swedish authors. 4 🌟
Fredrika Bergman & Alex Recht # 1 This is a police procedural/thriller told from multiple perspectives. The main characters are well developed and the story is interesting. I thought the pacing was good until the police figured it out and then it was a little rushed. Overall, I enjoyed it and will pick up the next one. #litsyreadingchallenge #writtenbysomeoneyourage #LRC16
If I could click these shoes together I'd be home like Dorothy... Come on 5 o'clock. Guess I will just have read on breaks...
Kristina Ohlsson is one of my favourite #nordicnoir writers. This book starts the Fredrika Bergman and Alex Recht series and it's very good. I like the other books in this series also. They are possibly even better than The Unwanted.
While this one took me a while to read, it wasn't because of the story. I really liked Fredrika and the other members of the team. I liked how we get to know more about each of them throughout the book. The crimes were heartbreaking to read and an intriguing to follow as Frederika and the team solved it. And, of course, I love a Swedish setting! Looking forward to more by this author!
Slightly predictable in many ways, but very intriguing. Better than the third novel in the series.
