5 🌟! This #graphicnovel has some beautiful #illustrations! And they really create an ominous feel, really working well with the story. The story follows Pig, Foxy, and Hippo as they are swept out of their village by The Fog. Pig, as the dam keeper, takes it upon him to return them back home but what they find beyond the walls is not what they expected. The Fog was supposed to be deadly, so how was there another town around? #fantasy

Ordered a couple #books from my #netgalley #tbrpile and picked them up today! Just realized that I didn't get The Little Red Wolf rip. In addition to all this I got the #manga sweetness and lightning, which I've heard good things about and the TV series #avatarthelastairbender! Which I haven't completely seen 👌👌👌#childrensbooks #graphicnovels #spinningsilver

I picked this up mainly because the main character is a pig and I love pigs! This book is middle grade but the art is beautiful and the story is very intriguing. Pig is the dam keeper, raised by his father who built the dam to keep the dangerous fog out. Pig's mother died when he was much younger and now his father seems to have died by suicide. Can Pig keep the people of Sunrise Valley safe? #graphicnovel #middlegrade #winterreads

3.5 stars ⭐️

As seems to be par for the course with me and most graphic novels I've read, I enjoyed the illustrations far more than the story. Don't get me wrong, the story was not bad by any means. It didn't grip me the way the drawings themselves did though.

Pic shows my book, breakfast, and reading time logged so far this morning since the 24-hr challenge began at 8am. 😁

This was so much more than I expected! It was sweet and beautiful, but also scary and thought provoking and full of mystery.

I knew the minute I opened this book I had seen it before. It was an award nominated animated short film. I loved it when I saw it, and I love the graphic novel even more. The graphic novel actually has words to tell you what is going on. Where did the smoke come from? Where did the pig‘s dad go? This is a beautiful story of friendship and duty, and making both work.
