IamIamIam You can't beat an old school mix tape too!!! Hahaha, yeah I just dated myself! 😋 8y
Jas16 A painting that he created for my birthday. 8y
Jokila A dog 😊 8y
HippieChickHomeschool My best friend made a beautiful watercolor of my beloved cat who died. I cried and cried, but I love it. 8y
dragondrool My big sister taught me to read. ☺ 8y
Sarah83 A day at the north sea. I live in the middle of Germany so this is quite a trip for only one day. 😉 8y
Foragingfantasy I once had a friend offer to be a surrogate for my husband and me. We cried and blubbered. We didn't accept, and finally did get pregnant, but it was one of the most beautiful gifts I've ever been offered. 8y
NCNY The day after my father's funeral, a family friend brought over a whole thanksgiving dinner for my family. She didn't even stay - she brought it and left so my family could have time together. I tear up every time I think about it. 8y
MyNamesParadise My friend made a small canvas painting of all of these classic and bestselling books and amongst them she had included a book with my last name and I was among the classics and bestsellers! I was so touched, I cried! It's on display on my bookshelf! 8y
MyNamesParadise Also when I was nervous about my winter term studying abroad trip my friend had taken a picture of her two chihuahuas on her fancy Polaroid camera and she gave it to me before I went away saying they'd always be with me! It's been a few years and they've both passed away but I keep that photo with me all the time! 8y
Vexingcircumstance Mine is an odd one to explain. When I was in middle school a friend got me a Wet and Wild Orange lipstick for Christmas. That always comes to mind when someone mentions best gifts from friends. Not because I really wanted an orange lipstick but because she got because I was just getting into makeup and likes weird colors. She put thought in to it and her family didn't have much money. Like...everything was a struggle for them. So that $1 lipstick 8y
Vexingcircumstance Probably required her to negotiate a lot with her mom to get the money for it. She may have even had to save her random change she found. It meant a lot to me that she put thought and effort into getting me a gift when it wasn't an easy thing for her to do. So, I've always remembered it. 8y

Today's #freewrite -- for some reason, soccer was a popular answer! #teachersofLitsy

Laalaleighh "Mad about" I love that that phrase has become so accepted. I used it once in school and my teacher was like "why did this upset you?" 8y
RealBooks4ever @Laalaleighh 😆 Maybe teaching isn't a good career for that person! 8y
Laalaleighh @RealBooks4ever haha she was just from a different time. The concept that words change meaning over time was not one she wanted to deal with haha. 8y
moranadatter Wow! I wouldn't have expected soccer. 8y
