I'll be using this for #lesotho next year for #ReadingAfrica2022, as Wakanda is based there, and it's going to be difficult to find one for.

#MayCharacters - Motivates: There‘s something badass about a female warrior. There‘s something inspirational about a group of women only serving as the elite Special Forces Team in protection of their country. There‘s something motivational about Okoye, the General of the Dora Milaje in the Marvel Comic, Black Panther. She was fearless in her duties as commander, protector, loyal citizen and faithful friend.👇🏽
This got lost in my pile of library books, and I forgot I had it. Excited to dig in.
@Marmie7 Thank you so much for the Black Panther set! The treats are appreciated as well, but I'm keeping them away from Boo Boo. #funkopopswap #fps
Roxane Gay makes her graphic novel debut with this tale of the women that largely live and run the land of Wakanda while Black Panther/T'Challa is with the Avengers and saving the larger world. Strong characters set this story of love and vengeance apart. I would look forward to further adventures but I read it‘s been canceled: http://www.syfy.com/syfywire/black-panther-world-wakanda-cancelled-im-reason-sup...
I loved this! Aneka and Ayo are wonderful characters that I couldn't help but root for, as individuals and as a couple. The art is everything I could have wanted. I just wish there was going to be more of the series.
#femmeuary #ReadHarderChallenge8 #booked2018 #unconventionalRomance this is written by Roxane Gay building on Ta-Nehisi Coates‘ Black Panther series the backstory of the Midnight Angels Ayo and Aneka is also their love story. I enjoyed this even though I only picked it up for the challenges- and Roxane Gay!
A really fun read. It was great to read a Marvel comic that was so diverse and representative- it really felt like a story for the modern age.
One of the most exciting days of the year! The 2018 #readharder list is out and I'm as pumped as ever...my weekend ahead is definitely going to be spent planning
The writing felt disjointed but the art is amazing!
Sooo excited to start this one for my weekend!
And look what Nephew got. Personally autographed by My Lady though she wasn't personalizing books other than Hunger. She was a BOSS. Best night!
My surgery was this AM. Surprisingly I don't feel too poorly though I expect this means tomorrow will be worse. I've actually been able to read a bit here and there and have had lots of cat snuggles.
This was at the back of my Black Panther comic. Roxane Gay making a comic?! Sign me up! It says June release date; summer cannot come fast enough. 😁😬
