Larkken Have you tried P Djeli Clark‘s series? The first novel in it is coming out this summer! (I‘m really excited 😝) 4y

This is another story set in Half-Moon Hollow. The main character Iris is a vampire concierge. She takes care of day time errands and such for her nocturnal clients. But when a new client Cal is poisoned she gets drawn into the vampire world much deeper than she is comfortable with. Cute story, good but not quite on the level with the Jane stories. 4ish⭐

#FebruaryFeels #legal

“Back by eleven,” I reminded her, then cut her off at the first sign of a groan. “Complain, and it will be ten-thirty ... and if you‘re not in that door on time, I‘ll show up at the Dairy Freeze in my bathrobe, yelling your full legal name.”

Since 17-year old Gigi‘s full legal name is Gladiola Grace Scanlon, I‘m thinking it‘s a valid threat. 😉

Dare I look into how long the North and South trilogy is?

night_shift It looks to be about 3k pages for the 3 books, which would be a might undertaking especially if you're not into civil war era historical fiction. 6y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @UnidragonFrag, I‘d be busy for quite some time then 😂 6y

I finished this book three days ago and I am still thinking about it. The storytelling is somewhat fragmented, but that matches how the characters' lives are fragmented. I can't decide if this book tries to tell too many stories or if the gravity of all the situations bring a necessary weight to the family. In any case, I liked reading about the various plights of these grown sisters and their loved ones.
