#AbbaInAugust Day 22: The #HoleInYourSoul can be patched with Alexandra Elle‘s Neon Soul. Fats has shared a sampler of some of her poetry here. Full review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-gnt
Throughly enjoyed this poetry book. Nourishing, warm words. The title is suitably named as you can feel the neon glowing through the pages. This collection is full of life and self-love!
#TBRtemptation post 8! In this poetry collection, Elle relates her experience as a young single mom who celebrates triumphing over adversity and promoting residence and self-care. This collection is considered a quotable companion on the road to healing toward wholeness and health. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
friday morning reads: something for connection, something for reflection, and something to get me hooked for the weekend
I think that most will either love or hate this. I thought it was awesome.
I got off work at the bookstore and was waiting for my hubby to get off work to go shopping, so of course I read some poetry! This collection was a little different from most you'll find, bc it was all about self-love and being content and knowing you are valuable just bc you're you. The poems pictured were some of my favorites.
Too pretentious for my taste.
Original: crafted me carefully
from diamond powder
and rust.
This collection is a celebration of resilience and self love. The poetry is simple and easy to read in one sitting, but not the type to be analyzed. The collection reminded me of the poems about healing in Rupi Kaur‘s Milk and Honey, but I found it less hard-hitting than Kaur's collection. #NetGalley #ARC #poetry Full review: https://bookandstitch.wordpress.com/2017/04/02/neon-soul-by-alexandra-elle/
absolutely loved this collection of poetry, there were so many poems I screenshotted to read again later & will definitely be picking up more of her work in the future. many of these poems might look simple but they speak to many larger issues - Alexandra Elle is praised for "her triumph over adverse & promoting resilience & self-care - & this collection definitely delivers
?????
I really enjoyed this poetry collection and its focus on healing, self love, and self care. It was easy to read, definitely not poetry to chew on and ponder but that made it enjoyable. I read this cover to cover in one sitting and would definitely re-read it. This is one to pass on to others who you care about. I will be recommending it to a group I am a part of that focuses on self care.
