Started and finished this gem on the bus Thursday and Friday.
This book is adorable! Kunal Nayyar is adorable! He‘s more like Raj than you‘d think. He‘s a little nerdy. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

I have never watched The Big Bang Theory, but I found this to be a charming, warm, and funny story of Kunal‘s life so far, with vignettes from childhood to college to now. It was a nice light listen, which was exactly what I was looking for.
I love Kunal but this book was not good! I thought id be funny and alot of bts of the big bang theory. so disappointed.
Pro: family vignettes & story about his Big Bang Theory audition process
Con: awkward/TMI college vignettes
Overall: quick read, fun enough
I enjoyed listening to Kunal Nayyar's light-hearted and funny memoir. I think it was even better since it was read by him. I like him on The Big Bang Theory, and it's interesting to hear his story of how he got there.

Interesting? Yes. Funny? Mildly. A good road trip companion while dealing with some heavy family stuff? Absolutely. I really enjoyed the parts relating to cultural differences that Kunal has experienced. His stories were certainly entertaining enough to take my mind off things for a while. Oh, and I'm very happy they didn't keep the original name for his TBBT character. #audiobook #memoir #humor
Oh man how I loved this book. Sometimes you just really need something that makes you happy at the end with no other intention. This is the book, especially if you love The Big Bang Theory. Kunal Nayyar is so visibly personal in this book; he makes fun of himself and tells the truth about his experiences. And in the end he makes sure to make a point of offering a positive outlook on following your dreams in life. Loved it 😊
📖 Yes, My Accent Is Real - I‘m still so taken with the way Kunal spoke about his wife.

📺 Younger or Young & Hungry. I‘m so disappointed with the way Y&H ended.

Kunal is as lovable as Raj is on the show (I‘m 5 seasons behind so hopefully that hasn‘t changed). He relates stories from his life with heart and humor. I enjoyed hearing about the lessons his father taught him, his friendship with his college roommate, his romantic experiences, how he landed the role of a lifetime, and “My Big Fat Indian Wedding.” #Booked2018 #diversenonfiction #LitsyAtoZ #nonfictionchallenge2018
This was a funny audiobook read by Kunal himself. I‘m a huge Big Bang Theory fan, so it was fun to get the background on this actor. He seems like such a genuine guy.
I had to change up what I was walking to - The Stranger Beside Me was making my walk far too creepy.

This is not a memoir, the author notes in the prologue. This collection of life stories from Nayyar‘s life is really written to give a peak into his personal life to fans of the Big Bang Theory show and perhaps even his fans too. There is no overarching story arc here, many stories seem disparate.
In short, read this if you are already a fan. Narration was good but the writing could be better.
A fun, quick read on audiobook!
But you can‘t find love if you‘re not willing to lose it. You can‘t find happiness if you‘re not willing to risk being sad. And you can‘t find the love of your life without risking breaking your heart.

"But you can‘t run away from the inevitable, no matter how hard you try. Good-byes happen, but so do hellos."
"SOMETIMES PEOPLE ASK ME, “WHY are you writing a memoir? You‘re only thirty-four.”
This is not a memoir. I‘m not a president, or an astronaut, or a Kardashian.
This is a collection of stories from my life.
It is not an “I was born in . . .” type of book."
?
This was fun on audio - yes his accent is real. Plus I love Big Bang Theory!
"So often in life we agonize, we deliberate, and we beat ourselves up to carefully evaluate the reasons we should or should not do something. But usually it's so much simpler. If you have no other offers, take the one offer you have."
I did not want this one to end! Very funny. Light and enjoyable with some touching parts as well.
Fifty pages in and I've already laughed out loud several times. 👌🏻
Had fun at the library tonight. Got a couple cozies, some DVDs which I just noticed have related books and put a bunch of Litsy finds on hold. 💕🤓 #booknerd

Book 65. I'm behind by about six books 🙈 and it's totally stressing me out. It's fine it's fine, I'll get caught up! Onto the review! I don't usually read nonfiction, except the occasional comedian memoir (ok it was one other one but I own a few I intend to read someday!) this was very good! I laughed! I cried! I'm recommending it to you if you are in the mood for something quick and light!
But you can't find love if you're not willing to lose it. You can't find happiness if you're not willing to risk being sad. And you can't find the love of your life without risking breaking your heart.
I'm new to the whole audio book game, so please forgive me if this is a really dumb question...Can anyone tell me why books I downloaded from the library wouldn't play through Bluetooth or AppleCar Play in my car?? Is there another step that I need to take to make this happen or is it impossible??
I found this to be surprisingly enjoyable. I wasn't expecting much but I was charmed by the vignettes he disclosed about himself. I have to add that I think his parents are awesome in what he had to say about them!!
Math science history unraveling the mysteries that all started with a Big Bang 🤓
I don't know. Maybe this book is not meant to be read/heard on one sitting and be stretched on long periods of time where you read one or two stories every once in a while, but that's what I did and that's what my review reflects. It's not a bad book of short stories, it's just that, short stories.
Kunal speaks openly about his college roommate/best friend: "We tend to talk about breakups as something that only happen between lovers romantically. But that's not the case...No one knew me like he did." #friendtruths
