Owl Always Hunts at Night
Owl Always Hunts at Night | Samuel Bjork
The thrilling follow-up to Samuel Bjork s internationally bestselling I'm Traveling Alone, which The Wall Street Journal calls tense and smartly constructed When a troubled teenager disappears from an orphanage and is found murdered, her body arranged on a bed of feathers, veteran investigator Holger Munch and his team are called into the case. Star investigator Mia Kruger, on temporary leave while she continues to struggle with her own demons, jumps back on the team and dives headfirst into this case: just in time to decode the clues in a disturbing video of the victim before she was killed, being held prisoner like an animal in a cage. Meanwhile, Munch s daughter, Miriam, meets an enticing stranger at a party a passionate animal rights activist who begins to draw her into his world and away from her family. Munch, Kruger, and the team must hunt down the killer before he can strike again in this sophisticated, intricately plotted psychological thriller by the newest phenomenon in international crime fiction."

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join in if you want!

Found book in a little hotel in Portugal. Let‘s see if it is good! I tend to love Nordic Noir.

Enjoyed the second Munch and Krüger book. Probably not as much as the first but it still kept me awake past my bedtime! I like the characters and feel I'm kind of invested in them now so am hoping for more in series!

Finally finished this book this morning. I enjoyed it - even if the subject of the mystery was a bit disturbing. Now I have to back and read the previous book in the series - maybe it'll explain Mia a bit more. It was a good vacation book.

I have a new favourite crime fiction book! This is the second book about Munch and Mia but you don't have to have read the first before reading this one. The author builds up the characters and story evenly through out the book, building it perfectly up to the thrilling and breath taking end. So lucking forward to the next book!

Linear I cant read this. I can only read english. Which uo to this point didnt bother me. I now have the urge to be a bilingual reader. 7y
ArcticDwarf @Linear But I think this book is translated to English 🤗 We have to learn English/American at school so most of us know enough to get by. 7y
Linear @ArcticDwarf i could read a little German in school as i lived in Germany. But not enough to enjoy a book. 7y
ArcticDwarf @Linear Yeah, I had German for a couple of years at school and have sadly forgotten most of it but I can read letters and short text with a dictionary ☺ 7y

Mehso-so

The prologue showed great promise. It had a fabulous Nordic Murder Mystery feel from the start. Then it fell flat towards the middle of the book. The story for the most part was good but it was missing something. I couldn't make myself care about the characters. I might have felt differently had I read the first book in the series. #2017christyread #meh #fiction #firstoread

A troubled teenager is found murdered, in this, the sequel to "I'm Traveling Alone". I've never seen a double volume #arc like this before- it includes copies of both books. #aprilbookmail

kendrastephaniekaryn I'd read that just for the title! 8y
howjessicareads the title is awesome, but the eyes creep me out! 👀 @kendrastephaniekaryn 8y
