A delightful collection of short stories that hit the spot if you enjoy Regency romance, Austen and Bridgerton. Nothing but happy endings, no harsh realities to spoil the fun. https://cannonballread.com/2023/01/snowdrift-and-other-stories-elcicco/

Loved this! The short story format is a great intro to Heyer‘s Regency, if you have never picked any up. My favorite was “Bath Miss.” 😊 (The book is actually Pistols for Two with 3 new stories)
Posting a few days late 😬 for #readwithmrbook #1wordtitle
These are my January challenge reads!
Northanger Abbey - a reread that I always want to get to but never seem to - for #bookspin (Thank you for this copy @Gissy !)
Snowdrift - for #readwithmrbook 1 Word Title (Thank you sending it @cobwebmoth !)
One of my all-time favorite authors. This will probably be my #firstbook of 2019, but I reserve the right to change my mind. ☺️ #snowman #seasonsreadings

Heyer manages to pack all the adventure, humor, and romance of her full length novels into these fantastic short stories.
❄️❄️❄️❄️ I‘m not generally crazy about short stories. I do prefer the longer Heyer works I‘ve read but the stories are all quintessentially Heyer. You can see the ideas that turned into longer novels & they all have Heyer‘s signature flair for dialogue. The only story I didn‘t like was “Bath Miss”. The miss was annoying & it really stretched the imagination that the gentleman didn‘t find her so. #osrbc #romantsy #regency
#TBRtemptation post 4! For fans of Georgette Heyer, and those who like romance and intrigue. You'll find tales involving affairs of honor, affairs of the heart, duels, elegance, and plenty more, among others set in the Regency period. This collection has three recently discovered stories. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
#GeorgetteHeyer has been one of my favorite authors since I was 11, when I first picked up one of her books from my grandmother‘s collection of secondhand paperbacks. I‘m slowly rebuilding my own collection with a mixture of handed-down copies and brand-new editions. This is one I‘d never even heard of: Georgette‘s collected short stories from magazines! Like a nibble of a brownie rather than the whole square, but still very enjoyable.
