“There are only two joys. One is having God answer all your prayers; the other is not receiving the answer to all your prayers. I believe this because I have found that God knows my needs infinitely better than I know them. And he is utterly dependable, no matter which direction our circumstance takes us.”

#7days7books Day 1
I received this book as a gift after I was in a serious motor vehicle accident, in which I crushed my ankle. I already had cerebral palsy to begin with, so this was devastating to me. After reading this book it helped put things in perspective. Joni Eareckson Tada was 17 when she broke her neck in a diving accident. I highly recommend this book to everyone. @megnews Do you want to join in?

AmyK1 I think I read this when I was a teenager after seeing a movie about her at church. Her story has always stuck with me. 5y

I may be the only person who never read this in the 70's.

JanuarieTimewalker13 No, you are definitely not. I haven't a clue who she is! 8y
Blueberry Haha. She was 18 years old when she dived into too shallow water and broke her neck. The book is about her struggles in coming to terms with never walking again and her growth in her Christian faith. She became a gifted painter by holding the brush in her mouth. 8y
