A quick read and a very sweet story.
This is a sweet little Thanksgiving novella that is definitely reminiscent of Little Women. It‘s funny to see the contrast of an 1820s Thanksgiving versus today. It‘s a quick read and is perfect to get you in the mood for the holidays. 4⭐️

I can‘t believe I‘ve never read this book #setduringThanksgiving. I‘ll have to remedy that before I head out to my Turkey Day #celebration. And often LMA‘s characters can be #angelsandsaints. (Beth comes to mind. 😇) #movember #gratefulreads #namastenovember #multitasking 🦃🦃🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to all the #Littens—I‘m thankful for this group of kindred spirits who understand and share my obsession with books! 😊
Day 28 - Set in New Hampshire in the 1800s, it is a simple, yet charming story of a family Thanksgiving in an earlier, more innocent time. When their parents are called away to visit a sick relative, the girls try to put together a Thanksgiving dinner all on their own. Of course a few things go wrong, as this is the first time the children cook such a big dinner, but ultimately, all turns out well, and there‘s much to be thankful for.

I‘ve not read it, a short story about a country family in the early 19th century. ‘Mother and Father are called away suddenly the day before #Thanksgiving because Grandma was “failin‘ fast,” leaving their 8 children behind. The two oldest girls decide to finish the dinner though they had never made a turkey with stuffing before. Things don‘t turn out perfectly but at the end of the day, everyone is happy, warm and fed.‘
Today, I'm #thankfulfor my family, friends, faith, and home. I'm also thankful that said home is full of books! #photoadaynov16

I'm thankful for my family, especially my wonderful husband. Not only does he support me in my dreams, but also my bookish obsession. (He's the reason I own so many books.) I'm so grateful we have time to spend with our families this weekend. Happy #Thanksgiving littens! #thankfulfor #photoadaynov16
Sweet Story. Perfect for a autumn day.
