12-6-22: My 122nd finished book of 2022! Carrie Fisher is a beautiful writer. This book was not as funny as I had hoped but I still enjoyed it. Cora is a screenwriter with a large group of friends, who meets Ray and has an intimate relationship which results in a pregnancy. She writes letters to her unborn child while trying to learn what it means to be a mother. It skipped around a bit but in the end came together. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣1️⃣2️⃣2️⃣

I enjoyed the wit of this book and adore Carrie Fisher, but it was trying too hard for me.

I didn‘t like this as much as I was expecting to. Fisher was quite a wordsmith but the story just wasn‘t very good. It‘s an interesting coming of age story though. I still wanna read more of work!

🤶🤶🤶 This book wasn't really my cup of tea. I love Carrie Fisher and her writing is excellent but the subject matter wasn't something I'm deeply interested in reading. After reading a couple of her memoirs, I could see where she got a lot of her material so that was pretty interesting.

Since Carrie's passing, I've read all of her books now except for The Best Awful (still waiting for that from the library). This is easily my favorite of her fiction books, even though it is semi autobiographical like the others. As usual, it doesn't have much of a plot, but she had such a way with words that I couldn't help but like it. Wishful Drinking is still my favorite (highly recommended!), but this comes a close second. 📚❤️📚#carriefisher
