pickRick and the group run into more survivors as they search for a place to settle. The new people though have hidden agendas that quickly come to light causing violence to erupt bringing out a side of Rick we haven't seen before.
Side note: in volume 2 and 3 the artwork changes some, and although I still love the story, I'm not a fan of the change.

I used to watch The Walking Dead but then I became bored and lost interest. Then I was at the library and saw the graphic novels and I thought what the heck, I'll give them a go and I liked them!
Started reading this last night. So caught up in it all.
pickWow so I told my hubs that I understand why they had to change some of the storylines. TWD is dark. Poor Herschel. Poor Tyreese (who is much more badass than his tv show counterpart.) Also I still hate hate hate Lori but at least Rick told her to stfu in the comics.
pickI'm so glad these comics are done in black/white/gray - I wouldn't like all that gore in detail. The comics seem to move a lot faster than the show - I don't remember them finding the prison so quickly but it's been awhile since I watched it.
pickThe gang finds the prison and its inhabitants. Lori is annoying as ever. Tyreese is a bad ass. Carol and Tyreese, Dale and Andrea... are 'together' ...Whaaaa!!
