This book had everything going for it: a Litsy author, his first book I read was so original & amazing, & it had a perfect rating here. An interesting premise about how a grandfather‘s dying breath is caught in a balloon and the MC must decide what to do with it. But roughly a 1/3 into the story nothing has happened except, for the most part, inane conversations between two stoned men in their thirties. So I bailed for march‘s #readwithmrbook ⬇️

I felt like I was watching a movie rather than reading a book. The characters personalities and dialogue really play out like movie scenes (think low-budget cult classics!) and the plot takes you all over the place in the best way!
This is the first of many Jonathan Dunne novels I'll be reading! 👍
